Ministry of Tourism, Government of India participates in World Travel Market 2023
Ministry of Tourism, along with various stakeholders including tour operators and state tourism departments participated in WTM London 2023. The Ministry of Tourism had taken a space of 650 square meters for the Incredible India Pavilion at WTM 2023, London and showcased varied tourism products and series of transformative experiences for travellers to India under the theme 'Incredible India! Visit India Year 2023'.
In WTM 2023, 47 participants including tour operating companies / DMCs, State Tourism Departments from Delhi, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Assam and Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) participated in the Incredible India Pavilion whereas States Tourism Departments of Kerala, Karnataka, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, took their own pavilions and showcased their products and services and connected with potential clients and partners.

Kerala Honoured with Global Responsible Tourism Award 2023
The Kerala Responsible Tourism Mission won the Global Responsible Tourism Award 2023 for promoting sustainable and women-inclusive initiatives.
The award is instituted by the Responsible Tourism Partnership and International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT) in the best for local sourcing, food, and craft category.
This international award reflects the universal appeal of the Responsible Tourism projects that Kerala implemented.

NITI Aayog organized Workshop on "Goa Roadmap for Tourism"
As a part of its ongoing G20 Think Tank Workshop Series, NITI Aayog has organized a workshop on "Implementing Goa Roadmap for Tourism" with India Foundation and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as its knowledge partners.
The G20 meeting on tourism was held in Goa on June 21, 2023, culminating in the Goa Declaration.
The Goa Roadmap for Tourism as a vehicle for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals is a pioneering effort towards harnessing tourism as a driving force to achieve the SDGs.
The G20 New Delhi Leader's Declaration (NDLD) noted the Goa Roadmap for Tourism and 'Travel for LiFE' program as the policy blueprints for nurturing tourism as a means for sustainable socio-economic development.
The workshop aimed at deliberating on the implementation of the Goa Roadmap and the discussions were conducted over four thematic sessions.
The workshop will include four sessions on – 1. Green tourism, 2. Digitization, 3. Strategic management, 4. MSME Tourism.

Kerala To Launch Multilingual Microsites For Boosting Religious Tourism
In an attempt to promote pilgrimage tourism, Kerala tourism is taking some major steps with the launch of a series of microsites. These microsites are crafted to not just illuminate the state's abundant heritage but also to emphasize the profound importance of its primary religious destinations.
Kerala Tourism's new plan to boost religious places and pilgrim tourism in the state focuses on the launch of some new microsites. These are all set to provide the necessary information and features of all the added tourist places.
The plan is to introduce a microsite that is rich in facts and information in different languages, with a primary attention on Sabarimala Temple.
Thailand Announces Visa-Free Entry For Indians to Boost Tourism
Thailand is taking steps to revitalize its tourism industry by allowing visa free entries for the citizens of India and Taiwan.
This move comes as the high season approaches and is part of a broader strategy to attract more visitors to the country.
Thailand had previously visa requirements for Chinese tourists, a significant source of visitors before the pandemic.

Ministry of Tourism Participates in International Travel Exhibitions Asia
Ministry of Tourism, Government of India along with various stakeholders including tour operators and state tourism departments participated in one of the important international travel exhibitions held in Singapore with an objective to promote inbound tourism to India globally including the Asia Pacific region. The exhibition – ITB Asia concluded on the 27th of October. Ministry of Tourism led the participation of the Indian industry at the exhibition, which drew the travel trade business and stakeholders from across the globe and particularly from the Aisa Pacific region, and showcased varied tourism products and series of transformative experiences for travellers to India under the theme 'Incredible India! Visit India Year 2023'.
