Post Office Plan: Double Money Guaranteed! Turn Rs 50,000 To Rs 1 Lakh In 113 Months

Small savings schemes in the post office are offering higher interest rate as compared to deposit schemes of some of the top banks. Interestingly, post office schemes like Kisan Vikas Patra comes with a declared timeline for doubling the investors' money.
Currently, if you invest Rs 50,000 in KVP today, it will mature and double in 113 months, or 9 years and 5 months.
The minimum amount one can invest in KVP is Rs 1000 and thereon in the multiples of Rs 1000. There is no upper limit of investment.

Selfie In Loo, Rs 51,000 in MP Government's Scheme For Newly-Weds

No selfie in loo, no wedding! That's what applicants under 'Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojna' are being told in Madhya Pradesh if they want to get married and the brides-to-be want to become eligible to receive Rs 51,000 under the scheme.
As per the government scheme, brides from economically backward sections of the state are eligible to receive Rs 51,000 provided they prove that the groom's house has a toilet before the wedding.
And for that, it has been made mandatory for the groom to click a selfie while standing in the toilet in his residence.
The initiative is aimed at ensuring that toilets are constructed in every household in the state.

Andhra Government to Launch YSR Kanti Velugu on World Sight Day

The Andhra Pradesh government is launching a health scheme, 'YSR Kanti Velugu', on World Sight Day to provide comprehensive eye care and rectify vision defects among the State's over five crore population.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will formally launch the scheme in Anantapuramu.
Under the scheme, the government will bear the entire cost from preliminary eye check-up to surgeries wherever required for the entire 5.40 crore population.

HRD Minister Inaugurates 'DHRUV' in Bengaluru

Union Minister for Human Resources Development Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank launched ambitious DHRUV programme in the headquarters of Indian Space Research Organization in Bengalur.
DHRUV is a unique programme to identify talented students and mentor them in the centre of excellence for 14 days so that they can reach their full potential and work for the society.
The students chosen under the programme will take part in workshop seminar and interact with experts on the issue of National concern like climate change agricultural production and technology.
Out of 25 crore students in India, 60 are selected under this programme to mould them to think and work for the society.
ISRO Chairman Dr. K. Sivan, India's first Astronaut Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma (Retd.) and Secretary Rina Roy were present on this occasion.

Govt Launches SUMAN for Quality Health Care

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan along with several State Health Ministers launched Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan, SUMAN, initiative in New Delhi. The initiative was launched during the 13th Conference of Central Council of Health and Family Welfare.
The initiative aims at assuring dignified, respectful and quality health care at no cost and zero tolerance for denial of services for every woman and newborn visiting the public health facility in order to end all preventable maternal and newborn deaths.
It also provides a positive birth experience to both mother and infant.
Under the scheme there will be zero expense access to identification and management of complications during and after the pregnancy.
The government will also provide free transport from home to health institutions.
There will be assured referral services with scope of reaching health facility within one hour of any critical case emergency and Drop back from institution to home after due discharge (minimum 48 hrs).
Under the scheme, the pregnant women will have a zero expense delivery and C-section facility in case of complications at public health facilities.

Union Cabinet Approves Inclusion Of 5,300 DP families

In a major breakthrough for Jammu and Kashmir, Union Cabinet approves the inclusion of 5,300 DP families of J & K-1947 which initially moved outside J & K but later returned and settled in State, in Rehab Package for Displaced from PoJK and Chhamb.
The Centre said that the displaced families were earlier left out in the rehabilitation package that was approved by the Cabinet on November 30, 2016.
It has been decided that 5300 displaced families (from PoK), who had settled in regions others than Jammu and Kashmir but later came to the state, will also be provided Rs 5.5 lakh each. This will provide justice to these displaced families.

Cabinet Approves Relaxation For Mandatory Requirement Of Aadhaar-Seeded Data For Beneficiaries Of...

The Cabinet has approved relaxation of the mandatory requirement of Aadhaar-seeded data as a pre-condition for release of funds to the beneficiaries under the PM-Kisan scheme.
The relaxation will be till 30th November, 2019.
The scheme provides income support of 6,000 rupees per year to landholding families, subject to certain exclusions.
The amount is released in three 4-monthly installments of 2,000 rupees each directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit transfer mode.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Launched the 'YSR Vahana Mitra' Welfare Scheme

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the 'YSR Vahana Mitra' welfare scheme in Eluru town of West Godavari district.
The scheme provides an annual cash incentive of Rs. 10,000 to drivers of autos, taxis and maxi-cabs, who also own their vehicles.
The amount is meant to meet maintenance expenses, and for obtaining insurance and fitness certificates among other documents. The scheme was a promise made by Jagan during his padayatra before the election in the same town.
According to Jagan, the YSR Vahana Mitra scheme would provide Rs. 50,000 to self-employed drivers in the next five years.
