Beyonce Becomes First Black Woman to Win Country Grammy in 50 Years

The 2025 Grammy Awards were held at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles, honouring 2024's breakout music stars.
Beyonce led the nominations with 11 nods, courtesy her 2024 album Cowboy Carter.
Beyonce scripted history with Best Country Album trophy, making her the first Black woman to win a country music category in half a century.

Chandrika Tandon Wins at the 67th Grammys

Indian-American vocalist and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon, won a Grammy for her album 'Triveni' in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category at the 67th Grammy Awards. She shared the honour with her collaborators—South African flautist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto.
Other nominees in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category included: Break of Dawn by Ricky Kej, Opus by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn by Anoushka Shankar, and Warriors of Light by Radhika Vekaria.
This is not Tandon's first Grammy recognition—she was previously nominated in 2011 for her album Om Namo Narayana: Soul Call in the Best Contemporary World Music Album category.

The awards were: 'Best Tech Talent and Organization', 'Best IT Risk Management', 'Best Technology Bank', and 'Best Fintech and DPI Adoption' (all runner-ups); and 'Best Digital Sales, Payments and Engagement' and 'Best AI and ML Adoption' (special mention).

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Honoured with Maharaja Hari Singh Award

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was conferred with the prestigious Maharaja Hari Singh Award at a grand ceremony held at Satyam Resort, Jammu. The event, organised by the Gulistan News Network, was part of the 'Maharaja Hari Singh Peace and Harmony Award 2024-25' celebrations. The award recognised LG Sinha's contributions to reforms and planning in Jammu and Kashmir.

Osamu Suzuki Honoured with Padma Vibhushan; Ex-SBI chief Arundhati Bhattacharya Awarded Padma Shri

Former chairman of Suzuki Motor Corporation Osamu Suzuki was posthumously awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian award, in the trade and industry category for his role in the growth of India's automobile industry. Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi and former Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, Bibek Debroy, were posthumously honoured with Padma Bhushan.
Arundhati Bhattacharya former Chairperson of the State Bank of India was awarded the Padma Shri. She is the first woman to be the Chairperson of State Bank of India.

Winners of Avinya'25 and Vasudha Start-up Challenges Announced At "Energize India" Conclave

Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, announced the winners of two prestigious start-up challenges, Avinya'25 and Vasudha, at a special ceremony held at ONGC headquarters.
The announcement came at the conclusion of "Energize India: Catalyzing Growth Through Start-up Innovation", a high-powered conclave that brought together energy sector veterans, investors, and innovators.
The winner of Avinya'25, India's premier energy start-up competition, was UrjanovaC Pvt Ltd. The runners up were Breathe ESG Private Limited, AgriVijay, Apeiro Energy and UGreen Technology.
For Vasudha, the global start-up challenge in upstream oil and gas sector, the winner was Latin Energy Partners Inc., Paraguay and the runner up was Ultrasound Process Consulting LLC, USA.

India honours Trinidad and Tobago President with Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award

India conferred the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award on Christine Carla Kangaloo, President of Trinidad and Tobago, recognising her outstanding achievements in public affairs and her contributions to enhancing India's global prestige, the High Commission of India in Trinidad and Tobago announced.
