World Creativity and Innovation Day is celebrated on April 21 every year. The day aims to raise awareness about the importance of creativity and innovation in problem-solving and encourage creative multidisciplinary thinking at the individual and group levels. The World Creativity and Innovation Week is also observed from April 15-21.

World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID) was founded on 25 May 2001 in Toronto, Canada. The founder of the day was the Canadian Marci Segal. Segal was studying creativity in 1977 at the International Center for Studies in Creativity.
National Civil Service Day
Every year on 21 April Civil Service Day is celebrated to rededicate and recommit themselves to the cause of the people. On this day Civil servants from various parts of the country come together, share their experiences and also learn about others' experiences of working in the public sector.
The reason behind choosing this very date was to commemorate the day when the first Home Minister of Independent India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, addressed the probationers of Administrative Services Officers in 1947 at Metcalf House, Delhi. There he referred to civil servants as the 'steel frame of India'. This meant that civil servants, employed at various levels of the government, act as supporting pillars of the country's administrative system.

World Haemophilia Day
April 17 2022, is World Hemophilia Day. The theme of the event for 2022 was "Access for All: Partnership. Policy. Progress. Engaging your government, integrating inherited bleeding disorders into national policy".
By raising awareness and bringing hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders to the attention of policymakers, we can increase sustainable and equitable access to care and treatment.

Hanuman Jayanti 2022
Hanuman Jayanti is a Hindu festival during which devotees across India celebrate Lord Hanuman's birth. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival is held every year in the lunar month of Chaitra. Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated on the day of the full moon in Chaitra. It fell on April 16 this year (2022).
Devotees celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. Hanuman is known as the son of Kesari and Anjana. Lord Hanuman is sometimes also referred to as Pavan Putra.

Good Friday - 15 April
Good Friday in the year 2022 was celebrated/observed on Friday, April 15. Good Friday is a Christian observance held two days before Easter Sunday and it commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at Calvary (located right outside the walls of Jerusalem).
Good Friday is the sixth day of Holy week and is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday and Easter Friday. The day is also part of the Paschal Triduum that starts on the evening of Maundy Thursday and continues to Easter Sunday recalling the passion, death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
Himachal Pradesh Statehood Day
Himachal Day is observed on the 15th of April in Himachal Pradesh. The state became a full-fledged state on this day. Four districts of Mandi, Chamba, Mahasu and Sirmour were integrated with over two dozen princely states, leading to the formation of Himachal Pradesh as a Union Territory in 1948. Decades later, in 1971, Himachal Pradesh became the 18th state in India with Shimla as its capital.
It was on this day in 1948 that Himachal Pradesh was created as a province of India. The day is marked with a grand parade in the capital city of Shimla. Local events are also organised in the cities, towns, and villages to mark the day.
The word "Himachal" is derived from two Sanskrit words, "Hima" (snow) and "Anchal" (lap). The state, situated amid valleys and hills, virtually sits in the lap of the Himalayas.
World Art Day
World Art Day is celebrated on April 15. It is a UNESCO dedicated day. World Art Day is marked to promote the development, diffusion and enjoyment of art. Art, in its various forms, allows people to express themselves. And, the day is observed to spread awareness about the importance of art in our daily lives.
World Art Day was first declared in 2019 during the 40th session of UNESCO's General Conference. The day also marks the birth anniversary of famous Renaissance polymath Leonardo da Vinci. On World Art Day, a number of competitions are organised in schools and colleges. People also conduct seminars, debates and workshops to bring everyone under one roof and celebrate the day.

Tamil Nadu Observes Ambedkar's Birth Anniversary as Equality Day
The Tamil Nadu government observed Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's birth anniversary as Samathuva Naal (Day of Equality), Chief Minister M. K. Stalin announched.
After the CM's announcement, chief secretary V. Irai Anbu passed an order in this regard. In the order, the chief secretary directed all the government offices in the secretariat to observe April 14 as the day of equality and take a pledge.
He called Ambedkar the "Sun of Social Justice" from the north. The aim of social justice is to attain equality, said the CM and added that the government would consider the demands that help the state achieve its goal (of social justice and equality) and implement them immediately.
B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti
April 14 marks the birthday of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, Father of the Constitution of India and civil rights activist, who was born on April 14, 1891. The day is also known as Bhim Jayanti.
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, fondly remembered as the Father of the Constitution of India, played a crucial role in shaping the vibrant democratic structure that India prides itself upon. His birthday is celebrated as Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti on April 14 every year. The day is also commemorated as Equality Day across the country.
'Baba Saheb' Ambedkar was born in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh on April 14, 1891, to army officer Ramji Maloji Sakpal and Bhimabai Sakpal. Belonging to the Mahar (Dalit) caste, he had to face the evil of untouchability since his school day.
