Smriti Irani Releases Book; Collection of 25 Initiatives Taken under BBBP Scheme

Union Minister of Women & Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani released a book, titled "Chronicles of Change Champions" at an event held in New Delhi.
The book is a compilation of 25 innovative initiatives taken at the State and District levels under the Prime Minister's flagship scheme of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP). It captures the convergent approach adopted at the grassroots level and provides insight into the unique manner of community engagement by the District Administration and frontline workers.

Former PM Releases Book 'Who is Bharat Mata?'

Former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh released the book 'Who is Bharat Mata' by Prof. Purushottam Agrawal and its Kannada translation 'Yaaru Bharat Maate?' by Prof. K. E. Radhakrishna. The book was published by Swapna Book House, Bengaluru in association with Delhi Karnataka Sangha.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Singh said that the book 'Yaaru Bharat Maate?' is wonderful. The book contains writings and speeches of former Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. It also gives a complete picture of India's freedom movement. This book is a collection of great achievements of freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Moulana Azad, Arun Asaf Ali, Sheikh Abdullah, Subhash Chandra Bose, Mohammed Aris Singh, Ali Sardar and others. The Kannada translation of the book has really come out well.

Apple Doesn't Want You to Read 'App Store Confidential' Written by a Former App Store Manager

Apple has sent a cease and desist letter to try and stop the publication of a book that has been written by a former App Store manager. According to a report, Apple believes that the book contains confidential company secrets.
The book, called 'App Store Confidential', is written by Tom Sadowski in German.
App Store Confidential, according to a report in AppleInsider, covers Sadowski's work at Apple including his meetings with CEO Tim Cook.
Apple has sent a letter to both Sadowski and his publisher Murmann Verlag asking them to stop delivering the book to stores, recall all copies in circulation and destroy manuscripts of the book.

Union Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar Unveils an Annual Reference Book India/Bharat 2020

The Union Cabinet Minister for the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar released the 64th edition of the book "The Reference Annual- India/Bharat-2020" in both English and Hindi and also released the e-version of the book.
The book consists of the information about India and its developments, progress and achievements of various Government Ministries, Departments and Organisations during the year 2019.
The book has been published by the Publications Division (India) along with New Media Wing (Ministry of Information and Broadcasting).
