Rajya Sabha Launches Employees Welfare Scheme "Arun Jaitley Financial Assistance for Group C Empl...

The Rajya Sabha Secretariat launched "Arun Jaitley Financial Assistance for Group C Employees", an Employees Welfare Scheme in the name of former Union Minister of Finance, Arun Jaitley funded by his pension to his family. The scheme was formulated and approved based on the decision of Sangeeta Jaitley, wife of Arun Jaitley.
After the demise of Former Finance minister Arun Jaitley on 24th August 2019, Sangeeta Jaitley, submitted a request to the chairman of rajya sabha, M. Venkaiah Naidu, to utilise the family pension (Rs. 3 lakh at present) entitled to her for the benefit of Group C employees of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat with low salaries.
The Rajya Sabha Secretary General, Desh Deepak Verma approved the scheme formulated by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat and the scheme will be put to effect from 2020.
Under the scheme the wards of the Group C employees will be awarded 3 scholarships for higher technical or professional education in engineering, medicine and MCA/MBA/LLB and financial support in case of death and medical emergencies will be provided to the Group C employees.

Andhra Pradesh Announces Renewable Energy Export Policy 2020

The Government of Andhra Pradesh announced the Andhra Pradesh Renewable Energy Export Policy 2020, which permits the sale of power to the other states of India. The policy will be in force for the five years.
The policy aims to utilise the unused potential and to attract private investments to boost the economy and to generate additional revenue to the government.
The Export policy of 2020 facilitates the establishment of solar, wind and solar-wind hybrid projects of capacity up to 120 Giga Watts(GW) and renewable energy equipment manufacturing facilities in the state.
The power generated from these projects will be exported to other states.

BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry launches a BRICS CCI Young Leaders Initiative

The BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) launched a BRICS CCI Young Leaders Initiative with a vision to nurture and empower young leaders and entrepreneurs.
The program is committed to enabling young leaders to become better resources and contributors to global development while also helping them explore sustainable and lucrative work opportunities across member nations.
The initiative will provide extensive industry exposure and vibrant opportunities to young leaders from the BRICS nations to invest in themselves as well the global economy. BRICS CCI Young Leaders intends to hold numerous activities each year under the pillars of Youth Leadership, Nation Building, Thought Leadership, and will further connect with students through its institutional network.

SERB Launches 'Accelerate Vigyan' Scheme to Provide Platform for Research Internships

The Union Government's Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) launched the 'Accelerate Vigyan' (AV) scheme for research internships.
The objective of the scheme is to encourage high-end scientific research and prepare scientific manpower which leads to research careers and knowledge based economy.
It identifies research potential, mentors and helps in training on national scale.
It will organise about 10,000 High-end Workshops to provide opportunities to about 25000 doctoral PG students in another 5 years.
The SERB will launch an application to attain early success.
It has started to call applications for the process under ABHYAAS scheme for Winter.

Madhya Pradesh Launches "Hamara Ghar-Hamara Vidyalaya" Scheme

Principal Secretary Rashmi Arun Shami launched "Hamara Ghar-Hamara Vidyalaya" over a virtual platform to maintain academic regularity of the students during the Lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The scheme 'Hamara Ghar-Hamara Vidyalaya' was prepared by the Education Center of Madhya Pradesh which means "My Home – My School".
The scheme provides a school like environment to the children taught at their home through online classes.
Under the scheme the school bells will be heard in the students house and the teachers will begin the class of the students after the bell.
The scheme will provide the subject preparation for the teachers of class 1 to 8.
As per the time table the students will have subject classes from Monday to Friday and on Saturday the students will be engaged in activities like yoga, write and listen stories etc.
