Kerala's Responsible Tourism Mission Makes it to UNWTO List

Kerala's pioneering Responsible Tourism (RT) Mission achieved global acclaim by securing a spot on the prestigious list of Case Studies curated by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). This recognition not only reflects the mission's commitment to eco-friendly tourism but also serves as an inspiration for further advancements in promoting sustainable travel.
The inclusion of Kerala's RT Mission in the UNWTO's global list of Case Studies is a noteworthy achievement, positioning it alongside Maharashtra's Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve project as the only Indian representatives on this esteemed list. These two case studies from India stand among seven G20 countries recognized by UNWTO, which include Mexico, Germany, Mauritius, Turkey, Italy, Brazil, and Canada.

Shillong Hosts 11th Edition of International Tourism Mart

The 11th edition of the International Tourism Mart (ITM), which highlighted the tourism potential of India's northeast region, held in Meghalaya's capital Shillong was inaugurated by Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy.
The ITM is an annual event held by the Ministry of Tourism in one of the North-eastern states on a rotation basis, with an objective to provide a bigger platform to the stakeholders in the Northeast to interact with their counterparts from both within the country and overseas markets as well as to create awareness about the tourism potential of Northeast region.

KSRTC Bags Prestigious SKOCH National Award for Innovative Insurance Scheme

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bagged prestigious SKOCH National Award- 2023 for its innovative Rs. 1 Crore accident relief Sarige Suraksha Insurance Scheme for its staff which is the first in the history of transport organisations in the country.
SKOCH Group India is an independent think tank industry based in Delhi established in 1997, which has instituted SKOCH awards in 2003 for best governance, finance, technology and inclusive growth. SKOCH group selects the projects for awards based on benchmark performance and outcome.

ATOAI Announces Its 15th Annual Convention at Statue of Unity

The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) announced its 15th Annual Convention in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat. This event is set to take place at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat from December 16 to 19, 2023, bringing together stakeholders from across the country to discuss and celebrate the exponential growth and potential of responsible adventure tourism in India.
The vision of ATOAI is to position India as the epicentre of global adventure tourism and be ranked among the top ten global destinations for Adventure Travel by 2033.
The theme for the Convention this year (2023) is 'Indian Adventure Travel: Exploring New Frontiers'.
