Cafe Coffee Day Shuts 280 more Outlets in April-June Quarter
Homegrown coffee chain Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) closed down around 280 outlets in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, citing profitability issues and likely future increase in expenses. With these closures, the total count of its outlets stood at 1,480 as on June 30, 2020.
Cafe Coffee Day is a brand owned by Coffee Day Global, a step-down company of Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd.

Restaurant Chain Zizzi and Ask Italian to Close 75 Branches
The owner of Zizzi and Ask Italian restaurant chains will close 75 locations, risking the loss of up to 1,200 jobs.
Azzurri Group, which also owns the Coco Di Mama pasta chain, has been sold out of administration to TowerBrook Capital Partners.
The move will keep 225 shops and restaurants open and maintain about 5,000 jobs.
The Covid-19 crisis has had a profound impact on the casual dining sector, bringing many businesses to a standstill.
Despite being a successful operator, the immediate loss of revenue during lockdown meant that we have had to make some incredibly difficult decisions to protect the business for the long-term.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Unveils Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Brand in India
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel franchising company by the number of properties, announced the opening of Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Dwarka- its first Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham hotel in India.
Wyndham, which has approximately 9,300 hotels across 90 countries, also announced its plans to enter markets like Nepal and Bhutan.
Wyndham plans to have 47 hotels open across India by the end of this year.

Madhya Pradesh Launches 'Intezaar Aapka' Campaign to Attract Tourists
After lifting all travel restrictions, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) has introduced 'Intezaar Aapka' campaign to attract tourists who would like to visit the state. The campaign is running successfully on all social handles of the state tourism board.
The tagline 'Intezaar Aapka' states that the state tourism understands the current situation of travellers who were under lockdown for quite some time now.
Keeping such points in mind, the MPTB is promoting places of tourist interest such as Ujjain, Panchmari, Amarkantak, Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Mandu, among others. The campaign highlights the prime factors of all these historic destinations in MP. The campaign further highlights all the key attractions of all these destinations.
With the help of this campaign, the tourism board wishes to build the confidence of tourists. The board has also designed several interesting tour packages keeping safety of travellers in mind. From stay to excursion, everything will be planned according to the COVID-19 situation. Not only this, the tourism board has also introduced short two to three nights road trip itineraries to save people from boredom of a weekend.

Eiffel Tower Reopens After 104 Days
Marking a milestone in France's recovery from a coronavirus lockdown, the Eiffel Tower reopened to visitors after its longest ever closure in peace time: 104 days.
Tourists trickling back to Paris were delighted to find the landmark open when some other attractions in the French capital remain closed.
The Louvre Museum will reopen in July.
Of the tower's three decks, only the first two were reopened.
The tower lost 27 million euros ($30 million) from the lockdown that started in March.
