As per Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi government's umbrella health scheme was "10 times bigger and comprehensive" than the Centre's scheme Ayushman Bharat programme.
The Centre-sponsored scheme aims to provide coverage of Rs. 5 lakh per family, annually, supposedly benefitting more than 10.74 crore poor families in relation to secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation through a network of empanelled healthcare providers.
Mr. Kejriwal said that the average citizen would be at a loss if the government's health scheme is replaced with Ayushman Bharat.
He also sought to draw a comparison between his government's scheme and Ayushman Bharat. Under the Ayushman Bharat there were less than 10% beneficiaries in Delhi while under the AAP government's scheme, every citizen constituting the Capital's population of two crore could be a beneficiary.
Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the scrapping of Annadata Sukhibhava, a crop investment support scheme introduced by the previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government headed by N Chandrababu Naidu in March.
Reddy said the scheme would be remodelled and rechristened as "YSR Rythu Bharosa", under which each farmer would be given crop investment assistance of Rs 50,000 per year in four instalments of Rs 12,500 each.
He announced that the Rythu Bharosa scheme would be launched on October 15 with revised guidelines by remitting Rs 12,500 into the account of each farmer to enable them to purchase crop inputs like fertilisers, pesticides and seeds during every cropping season.
Under the "Annadata Sukhibhava" scheme introduced by the TDP government, each farmer was promised Rs 10,000 per acre every year. Even before the first instalment was credited into farmers' accounts, elections were announced in the state.
Revamping Cabinet Committees
PM Narendra Modi has revamped the various Cabinet committees that are key to the government's decision-making process, making adjustments for newly inducted ministers and new portfolios handed out to members of his previous Cabinet.
In a continuation of the Modi government's policy, home minister Amit Shah is part of all the committees.
The Prime Minister himself is a member of six as is defence minister Rajnath Singh.
Singh was named as a member of two, albeit crucial committees - the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) and the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA). Later, he was added as a member to four more committees, the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs (CCPA), the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs, the Cabinet Committee on Investment & Growth, and the Cabinet Committee on Employment and Skill Development.
PM Modi is on all panels except the accommodations and parliamentary affairs committees, finance minister Niramala Sitharaman on seven (all except the appointments committee) and commerce and railways minister Piyush Goyal on five (all except the appointments, parliamentary affairs and security committees). New external affairs minister S Jaishankar is a part of the CCS and CCEA.
The committees also have several other special invitees from the Cabinet, apart from senior bureaucrats.

Industrial Investment Scheme
The Tripura's BJP-IPFT government brought an amendment in the industrial investment promotion scheme to invite investments that will open gates for more jobs.
The industrial investment promotion scheme was first initiated in 1995. The scheme was amended in 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2017 and this allowed subsidy for investments in small and medium scale industries.
The current revised scheme would allow subsidy for investments in large scale industries too.
The revised scheme would provide five percent subsidy on interests of bank loans to establish industries here.
It would also fully waive state Goods and Service Taxes under industrial promotion subsidy.
The industrialists would get 25% subsidy on electricity bills in their units.
The state government would bear expenses of the industrial workers' Employees Provident Fund along with providing 10% subsidy each for transportation and export promotion under this revised scheme.

Jagan Starts to Change the Names of Schemes
Two days after taking charge as Andhra Pradesh chief minister, YS Jaganmohan Reddy has begun re-christening welfare schemes named after Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders, including party founder NT Rama Rao and current president N Chandrababu Naidu.
The schemes are being renamed after Jagan's late father and former Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy, who was called YSR by his loyalists.
At his oath-taking ceremony itself, Jagan had announced that the pension scheme for senior citizens would from now on be called "YSR Pension Kanuka" (YSR pension gift), not "NTR Bharosa" (NTR support) as earlier.
The subsidised lunch scheme launched by the previous Naidu government will also be renamed. Under this scheme, "Anna NTR Canteen" had been opened in several districts after NT Rama Rao, who was called "anna" (elder brother) by the people. The canteens were painted yellow, the TDP colour.
The Anna NTR Canteen at Narsaraopet in Guntur district was renamed "Rajanna Canteen", apparently after YSR who was also called Rajanna. Although official instructions about this change in name have not yet been issued, workers of Jagan's YSR Congress party chose to go ahead with it.
