National Fisheries Development Board bags 'India Agribusiness Awards 2022'
National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad, a vibrant organization under the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, was awarded the "India Agribusiness Awards 2022" for the best Agribusiness Award.
The India International Agro Trade and Technology Fair – 2022 was organized to commemorate the services and support extended to the fisheries sector by playing a crucial and exemplary role dedicated to the stakeholders. The fair showcased the development and modernisations achieved by key stakeholders in major sectors like food, agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries and its extended support in various need-based projects.

YKC Wadiyar Receives International Kannadiga Rathna Award 2022
Member of the erstwhile royal family, Yaduveer Krishndatta Chamaraja (YKC) Wadiyar was selected for the International Kannada Rathna award. It is presented annually by Dubai Kannadigas to mark Kannada Rajyothsava. The award will be presented to YKC Wadiyar during Vishwa Kannada Habba on November 19 at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in association with Kannadigaru Dubai Sangha as part of celebration of the 67th Kannada Rajyothsava. Besides, Vishwamanya Award would be presented to achievers in various fields.

Indian-American Professor Receives Amazon Research Award
An Indian-American professor of computer science at a university in the US received an Amazon Research Award to design a tool that minimises negative user experiences.
Pavithra Prabhakar, who is the Peggy and Gary Edwards chair in engineering, was one of 74 recipients of the awards from Amazon, which also included an unrestricted gift, access to more than 300 Amazon public datasets, and Amazon Web Services' artificial intelligence and machine learning services and tools.

Dr. Subhash Babu, First Indian Scientist to be Awarded Bailey K. Ashford Medal
Prominent Indian physician and scientist Dr. Subhash Babu was conferred the prestigious 2022 Bailey K. Ashford Medal, and 2022 Fellow of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (FASTMH) award for his exemplary research work and contribution in tropical medicine.
The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) is the world's largest scientific organization in tropical medicine, and the medal is awarded annually to one or more mid-career-investigators for distinguished work in tropical medicine.
In the 82-year history of the award, it has never been awarded before to an Indian scientist or for work done at an Indian institution.
Dr. Subash Babu is the Scientific Director of the ICER (International Centre for Excellence in Research)- India Programme and is a leader in helminth infections and tuberculosis research, and he is the first Indian to receive both the Bailey K. Ashford Medal as well as the FASTMH award.
President Droupadi Murmu Presents National Florence Nightingale Awards 2021
The President of India, Droupadi Murmu presented the National Florence Nightingale Awards (NFNA) for the year 2021 to the nursing professionals at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The National Florence Nightingale Awards were instituted in the year 1973 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India as a mark of recognition for the meritorious services rendered by the nurses and nursing professionals to the society.

Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman 2022
The Government of Uttarakhand awarded the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman" award-2022 to NSA Ajit Kumar Doval, Prasoon Joshi, Late General Bipin Rawat (posthumously), Late Girish Chandra Tiwari 'Girda' (posthumously) and Late Viren Dangwal (Posthumously).
Every year, the government of Uttarakhand honours individuals with the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman in recognition of their accomplishments in their various disciplines.
The award was constituted in 2021 by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It was constituted on November 9, 2021, on the occasion of the state's 21st anniversary.
