India & Central Asian Countries Conclude Strategic Cyber Exercise

The National Security Council Secretariat, Government of India, in partnership with Ministry of External Affairs and National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre, held a three-day Strategic Cyber Exercise for Central Asian countries – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan – from November 12 to 14, 2025 at New Delhi.
The Strategic Cyber Exercise marked the successful completion of one of the commitments made by India under the framework of the India-Central Asian Meeting of Secretaries of Security Councils/NSAs. Technical teams from the cyber security agencies, national Computer Emergency Response Teams and relevant security agencies of the Central Asian countries participated in the Exercise.
The Exercise focused on equipping technical teams with advanced skills to combat increasingly sophisticated transnational cyber threats targeting the region's critical infrastructure. It also successfully integrated intensive technical capacity building with skills for high-level strategic policy decision making and deliberations on future areas of collaboration.

Rajnath Singh Unveils Rezang La Memorial Stamp

A commemorative postal stamp honouring the legendary bravery of the 13^th Battalion of the Kumaon Regiment was unveiled in New Delhi, highlighting the enduring legacy of the Battle of Rezang La.
The stamp, based on the Rezang La War Memorial in Ladakh, was unveiled in the capital by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh ahead of the battle's 63rd anniversary on November 18.

The 6th India-Vietnam Army Exercise VINBAX Begins in Hanoi

The 6^th India-Vietnam Army Exercise VINBAX commenced in Hanoi, Vietnam, with the aim of strengthening defence cooperation between the two countries. The opening ceremony was presided over by India's Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Vietnam's Deputy Chief of General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, the exercise focuses on interoperability and UN peacekeeping operations. This exercise concludes on November 29, 2025.

Indian Air Force Concludes Exercise MahaGujRaj-25 (MGR-25)

In pursuit of operational excellence & joint preparedness, Indian Air Force conducted Exercise MahaGujRaj-25 (MGR-25) from October 28 to November 11, 2025 in the Western Sector.
The exercise validated the IAF's ability to deliver across the full spectrum of air operations from Air Campaigns to Maritime & Air-Land missions.

Indian Army Concludes 'Exercise Maru Jwala' in Jaisalmer as Part of 'Trishul' Drill

The Indian Army's Southern Command conducted 'Exercise Maru Jwala' in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, as part of the ongoing tri-services 'Trishul' drill, showcasing the preparedness and coordination of its elite units.
Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, described the exercise as a crucial phase of the overall Trishul operations.
The exercise brought together key units of the Southern Command. Exercise Maru Jwala is a very important part of the overall Exercise Trishul, which is a tri-service exercise.

India and Vietnam Signs MoU on Mutual Submarine Search and Rescue Cooperation

In a significant step towards strengthening bilateral defence relations, India and Vietnam on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Mutual Submarine Search, Rescue Support and Cooperation on the sidelines of the 15th India–Vietnam Defence Policy Dialogue (DPD).
The DPD, co-chaired by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Deputy Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, was held in Hanoi.

India-Sri Lanka Joint Military Exercise Begins in Belagavi

The eleventh edition of the joint military exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2025 between India and Sri Lanka began November 10, 2025 at the Foreign Training Node in Belagavi, Karnataka. The exercise will conclude on November 23.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the Indian contingent of 170 personnel is represented mainly by troops from the Rajput Regiment, while the Sri Lankan contingent of 135 personnel comprises troops primarily from the Gajaba Regiment. In addition, 20 personnel from the Indian Air Force and 10 personnel from the Sri Lankan Air Force are participating in the exercise.
The aim of the exercise is to jointly rehearse the conduct of sub-conventional operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations mandate, with a focus on enhancing interoperability in counter-terrorist operations. The training curriculum includes raid and search missions, heliborne operations, search-and-destroy tasks, Army Martial Arts Routine (AMAR), combat reflex shooting and yoga, the Ministry said.
The exercise integrates the employment of drones, counter-unmanned aerial systems and helicopters. Joint drills will include securing helipads and conducting casualty evacuation under operational conditions. The collective effort aims to enhance coordination between personnel of both armies in peacekeeping and counter-terror scenarios.
