Day of Remembrance for All Victims of Chemical Warfare
Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare is commemorated on November 30. This internationally marked day was adopted by the United Nations to remember the victims of chemical warfare. The day aims to encourage efforts for eliminating the use of chemical weapons and remember those who have suffered because of such warfare.
The first international agreement limiting the use of chemical weapons can be traced back to 1675. France and Germany had come to an agreement to prohibit the use of poison bullets. This agreement was signed in Strasbourg.
The Chemical Weapons Convention was adopted in 1993. It came into force on April 29, 1997.
In 2005, the United Nations proclaimed November 30 as the Day of Remembrance for all Victims of Chemical Warfare.

International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People
November 29 is marked as the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People every year. Since 1978, the United Nations has commemorated the day as a way to express solidarity with the people of Palestine while the peace and resolution process remains stalled. The day aims to spread more awareness about the issues faced by the Palestinian people along with promoting a peaceful Palestine-Israel resolution.
The International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People hopes to galvanise people into finding a permanent and peaceful resolution to the Israel-Palestine conflict where the Palestinian people are able to have national sovereignty.
In 1977, the General Assembly called for the annual observance of 29 November as the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. On that day, in 1947, the Assembly adopted the resolution on the partition of Palestine (resolution 181 (II)).

NCC Celebrates 74th Anniversary of its Raising
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) celebrated the 74th anniversary of its Raising Day on November 27. This largest uniformed youth organisation in the world was raised in 1948.
The day was celebrated all over the country with cadets participating in march past, cultural activities and social development programmes.
The multifaceted activities and varied curriculum of the NCC, provides unique opportunities to the youth for self-development.
Many cadets have made the Nation and the organisation proud through their remarkable achievements in the field of sports and adventure.
The expansion of NCC has also been undertaken in coastal and border areas of the country by adding over one lakh young cadets to its fold in recent times. This has motivated the youth from these areas to join the Armed forces and contribute to Nation Building.
The NCC has also been a platform for harnessing international relations for over four decades by sending its cadets as ambassadors of peace and unity to over 25 nations.

National Constitution Day
Constitution Day, Samvidhan Divas or National Law Day, is celebrated in India on November 26 every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On November 26, 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India formally adopted the Constitution of India. It came into force on January 26, 1950. Constitution Day aims to bring awareness about the importance of the Constitution and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
The Constitution is a set of written principles and precedents of the Government of India. It frames fundamental political principles, procedures, rights, directive principles, restrictions and duties of the government and the citizens of the country. The Constitution of India declares the country a sovereign, secular, socialist and democratic republic. It assures its citizens equality, liberty and justice.
B. R. Ambedkar, chairman of the drafting committee, is considered to be the chief architect of the Constitution of India. He is also called the Father of the Indian Constitution. The Constitution of India was drafted by the members of the Constituent Assembly.
National Milk Day
Every year November 26 is celebrated as National Milk Day in India. The day is being observed since 2014 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of India's White Revolution, Dr. Verghese Kurien. He is also nicknamed as "Milkman of India".
Dr. Kurien was the father of the White Revolution in India and introduced 'Operation Flood,' under which dairy production was industrialized to improve milk production in the country.
National Milk Day provides a significant role in providing information related to the need for milk in human lives. Milk is considered to be the first food of a human child and is the food that is consumed throughout life.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is observed on November 25, every year. It is a day to pay tribute to the Mirabal sisters, the Dominican Republic activists who were murdered at the order of Rafael Trujilllo in 1960. The United Nations aims to raise awareness about gender-based violence against women.
The UN General Assembly in 1979, adopted the Convention of the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). Yet violence against women and girls is a problem that can still be seen worldwide. To tackle this issue, the General Assembly issued resolution 48/104, to lay the foundation of a world free of gender-based violence.
The General Assembly adopted the Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women through resolution 48/104 on 20 December 1993.
The 2022 theme of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women was 'UNITE! Activism to End Violence against Women and Girls.'
