Sachin Tendulkar Ranks Top Sports Celebrity in Brand Endorser Report 2022

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar emerged as the top sports celebrity followed by Virat Kohli and M.S. Dhoni in the Brand Endorser Report 2022 prepared by Hansa Research, claimed to be the largest Indian consumer insights provider.
Brand Endorser is a comprehensive report of intensive research conducted across 36 Indian cities.
Sania Mirza was the only female sportsperson to be ranked in the top 10 list under the sports category.
The celebrities are ranked as per the Brand Endorser (BE) Score results. They are tracked on various metrics like likability, social media influence, perception, marketing potential, recognition, etc. which make up their final BE Score.
As per the study, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan topped the overall list as the most recognised celebrity in the country with a very high All India Rank.

Suzlon Founder Tulsi Tanti Passes Away

Tulsi Tantia, the founder and chairman of Suzlon Energy, passed away. He was 64.
In 1995, Tanti formed Suzlon and with the help of a German firm, the company began designing wind turbine generators (WTGs) and, in March 1996, commissioned its first 0.27 MW wind generator for Indian Petrochemicals Ltd (now Reliance Industries) in the state.

Veteran Congress Leader Jayanti Patnaik Passes Away

Four time Congress MP and first chairperson of National Commission for Women (NCW), Jayanti Patnaik passed away. She was 90.
Jayanti was elected from Cuttack and Berhampur Lok Sabha constituencies in 1981, 1984 and 1998.
She was nominated to Rajya Sabha in 1996.
She was also the second chairperson of All India Mahila Congress.
