Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Awards

The Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi announced the fellowships, awards, and Gurupuja Puraskaram of the year 2022.
Theatre person Gopinath Kozhikode, music director P.S. Vidyadharan, and Chenda/Edakka artist Kalamandalam Unnikrishnan were selected for the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi fellowships for their contribution to the respective fields.
There are 17 winners from various fields for the Akademi awards.
Winners of the 2022 Gurupuja Puraskaram were: Meppayur Balan (Music); K.D. Anandan (Music); Thrikkakkara Y.N. Santharam (Music); K. Vijayakumar (Music); Vaikkam R. Gopalakrishnan (Music); Sivadas Chemenchery (Music); Ustad Asharaf Hydros (Music); Matangi Sathyamoorthy (Music); Poochakkal Shahul (Drama); Venkulam Jayakumar (Drama); Thrissur Viswam (Drama); Babu Kilirur (Drama); T.P. Bhaskara Pothuval (Drama); Kulathoor Lal (Drama); Kunjikannan Cheruvathur (Drama); Kalamandalam Kalluvazhi Vasu (Kathakali); Kalanilayam Kunjunni (Kathakali); Ponkunnam Saidh (Drama); Arival John (Drama); Artist Ramdas Vadakara (Drama); Kavadiyar Suresh (Dance drama); Thanneermukkam Sadasivan (Kathaprasangam).

Naveen Jindal Honoured with 'Lifetime Achievement Award' by University of Texas

Naveen Jindal was awarded a lifetime achievement award by the University of Texas at Dallas for his accomplishments in industry, politics, and education. Jindal had graduated from the University in 1992. This award is the highest recognition given to an alumnus by the University of Texas, Dallas and is presented to those whose contributions have positively impacted society. Aziz Sancar, a Nobel Laureate, was the first person to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Alia Mir, First Woman Wildlife Rescuer in J-K, Honoured with Wildlife Conservation Award

Alia Mir, a woman from Jammu and Kashmir was honoured with the Wildlife Conservation Award by the administration for her conservation efforts in the region.
J-K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha facilitated her with the wildlife honour award.
Alia is also the first woman from Kashmir who works for the charity Wildlife SOS organisation which is part of the Wildlife Rescue Team.
Alia, who is an eminent sociologist, was awarded at the World Forestry Day celebrations organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Collective Forests. She was awarded the award for her achievements in all aspects of wildlife conservation including bear rescue in Kashmir, rescue and release of wild animals, injured animal care, and wildlife.

Assam NGO Wins Children's Champion Award 2023

Students' Welfare Mission, an NGO from Assam's Pathsala which has been working for special and autistic children, was conferred with the Children's Champion Award 2023. Instituted by the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights last year (2022) to recognise individuals and institutions that have championed the cause of children across education, justice, health, nutrition, sports and artistic expression categories, the Mission, which is popularly known as Tapoban, was awarded in the health and nutrition category.
Justice S. Muralidhar, Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court, presented the award to Kumud Kalita, founder-president of Tapoban, in New Delhi. The award carries Rs. 75,000, a certificate and a plaque.

Isha Ambani Wins GenNext Entrepreneur Award

Isha Ambani, the leader of Reliance Retail business, won the GenNext Entrepreneur Award at the 12th Forbes India Leadership Awards 2023.
Isha dedicated the award to her parents Mukesh and Nita Ambani for their support and inspiration, and her children, Aadiyashakti and Krishna.
At the 45th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited in August 2022, Mukesh Ambani had introduced Isha as the leader of Reliance Retail business.

In recognition of his stellar leadership in scaling up the operational business matters in the power sector value chain, path-breaking energy transition initiatives, remarkable achievement, and contribution to the overall well-being of the economy, Vivek Kumar Dewangan, CMD, REC Limited, was conferred with the prestigious "The Most Promising Business Leaders of Asia" award at the 7th edition of the Economic Times Asian Business Leaders Conclave 2022-23, hosted by CTB-Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
