Kisan Agri Expo in December

Farmers in India are increasingly adopting farm mechanisation. Innovative machines and equipment are being developed to make their job more efficient and easier.
Farmers will get to see a whole range of these machines at KISAN 2019 - Agriculture exhibition, scheduled in Pune from December 11 to 15.
KISAN 2019 is set to be the largest agri show with over 600 companies displaying their products and services for the farming community.
Over two lakh farmers and agri professionals from across India are expected to visit the expo.
KISAN fair will also have an array of products and ideas, where the farmer will see the most advanced solutions using digital technologies well integrated with the farm machinery.

56th Fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2019

In its 56th edition, fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2019, co-powered by Sephora & Rajnigandha Pearls, could have well passed for a couture-clad spectator sport.
Departing from the event opening norm of catwalking in cocktail gowns and standing with their hands akimbo, contestants arrived dancing in their respective home state's traditional ensemble.
These glamorous, young ambassadors of Indian states were divided into two zones this year and mentored by Bollywood stars Dia Mirza (South and North zones), and Neha Dhupia (East and West zones), both of whom confessed to having developed maternal impulses towards their mentees over the last two months.
Rajasthan's 20-year-old Suman Rao was crowned fbb Colors Femina Miss India World 2019. Chhattisgarh's 23-year-old Shivani Jadhav was declared fbb Colors Femina Miss Grand India 2019 and Bihar's 22-year-old Shreya Shanker won fbb Colors Femina Miss India United Continents 2019. Telangana's Sanjana Vij, 24, was sashed as fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2019-Runner-up.

World Blood Donor Day

Every year on 14th June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day. The event, established in 2004, serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products, and to thank blood donors for their voluntary, life-saving gifts of blood.
World Blood Donor Day is one of eight official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organisation (WHO), along with World Health Day, World Tuberculosis Day, World Immunisation Week, World Malaria Day, World No Tobacco Day, World Hepatitis Day, and World AIDS Day.

International Albinism Awareness Day

On 18 December 2014, the General Assembly adopted resolution A/RES/69/170 proclaiming, with effect from 2015, 13th June as International Albinism Awareness Day.
The United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a resolution in 2013 (A/HRC/RES/23/13) calling for the prevention of attacks and discrimination against persons with albinism.
Moreover, in response to the call from civil society organisations advocating to consider persons with albinism as a specific group with particular needs that require special attention, on 26th March 2015, the Council created the mandate of Independent Expert on the enjoyment of human rights by persons with albinism.

World Day against Child Labour

The World Day against Child Labour is an International Labour Organisation (ILO)-sanctioned holiday first launched in 2002 aiming to raise awareness and activism to prevent child labour.
It was spurred by ratifications of ILO Convention No. 138 on the minimum age for employment and ILO Convention No. 182 on the worst forms of child labour.
The World Day against Child Labour, which is held every year on June 12, is intended to foster the worldwide movement against child labour in any of its forms.

World Ocean Day

World Oceans Day takes place every 8th June. The concept was originally proposed in 1992 by Canada's International Centre for Ocean Development (ICOD) and the Ocean Institute of Canada (OIC) at the Earth Summit – UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Brundtland Commission, i.e. the World Commission on Environment and Development, provided the inspiration for a global oceans day.
The 1987 Brundtland Report noted that the ocean sector lacked a strong voice compared to other sectors.
At the first World Oceans Day in 1992, the objectives were to move the oceans from the sidelines to the center of the intergovernmental and NGO discussions and policy and to strengthen the voice of ocean and coastal constituencies worldwide.
In 2008, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution officially recognising 8th June to be "World Oceans Day", effective 2009, through Resolution 63/111 (paragraph 171).
As such, the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, Office of Legal Affairs promotes the celebration of this International Day for the United Nations.
The theme selected by the United Nations for this United Nations International Day (2019) is "Gender and Oceans".
