Uttarakhand Police Ranks First in ICJS 2.0 National Rankings
National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, released the second edition of the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) 2.0 rankings. Uttarakhand Police topped the national rankings with an impressive score of 93.46, demonstrating exceptional digital policing capabilities and effective crime data management. Haryana Police secured second position with 93.41, while Assam Police claimed third place with 93.16.
This recognition highlights India's progress toward modernising its criminal justice system. The ICJS 2.0 platform represents a transformative shift in how law enforcement and judicial institutions operate across the country.
The Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System is a comprehensive digital platform that connects all major pillars of the criminal justice system. It seamlessly integrates police departments, courts, prosecution offices, prisons, forensic laboratories, fingerprint databases, and crime record systems into one unified network.
L&T secures army order to upgrade Pinaka rocket launchers
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has been awarded a supply order by the Indian Army’s Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) for the overhaul, upgrade, and obsolescence management of the indigenous Pinaka multi‑rocket launcher systems. The collaboration between a domestic OEM and the Army supports lifecycle sustainment of in‑service artillery. The programme will focus on replacing outdated components, upgrading critical subsystems, and providing sustained technical support to Army Base Workshops. This initiative underscores Made‑in‑India efforts to keep frontline artillery systems current and maintain operational readiness through ongoing maintenance and modernization.

Indian Army launches Depot Integration Management Edition (DIME) to transform logistics
The Indian Army launched Depot Integration Management Edition (DIME), a pan-Army digital platform that provides real-time visibility of logistics from units to Army Headquarters. Developed jointly by the Indian Army and the Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-informatics (BISAG-N), DIME standardises digital workflows across depots and units. It offers integrated dashboards, exception alerts, and predictive stock analytics to support proactive logistics. The platform is expected to cut paperwork by about 70 percent, shorten logistics cycles by a third, and deliver near real-time asset visibility across the entire logistics ecosystem, helping commanders make informed decisions.

Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron to deploy to South East Asia
Three naval ships and an Indian Coast Guard vessel from the Indian Navy’s First Training Squadron will undertake a long-range training deployment to South East Asia. INS Tir, INS Shardul, INS Sujata, and ICGS Sarathi will participate in the 110th Integrated Officers' Training Course (IOTC). The squadron will call at Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand as part of the deployment. The mission emphasizes training excellence, maritime diplomacy, and regional cooperation, reinforcing India’s strategic maritime presence in the Indo-Pacific while helping junior officers gain international exposure and practical experience in seamanship and interoperability.

Indian Army forms Bhairav, a modern warfare force with drones
The Indian Army has created the Bhairav modern warfare force, comprising a pool of over one lakh drone operatives. Bhairav battalions are designed for high‑speed, offensive drone operations, bridging gaps between Para SF and regular infantry. Around 15 battalions are already raised, with an expansion plan to 25 battalions in the near future. Operatives will conduct real operations to target bases and formations within enemy territory, enhancing reconnaissance and strike capabilities. The initiative reflects a shift toward technology‑driven warfare and increased integration of unmanned systems into India’s defence posture.

Tata Advanced Systems gets Pinaka upgrade support order
