The 12th Samvad Conclave Kicks Off in Jamshedpur

  • The Steel City of Jamshedpur is hosting the 12th of edition of Samvad conclave. The five-day event is being held at Gopal Maidan from November 15 to 19, 2025.
  • Coinciding with two historic milestones, the 25th Statehood Day and the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, the revered tribal icon, Samvaad 2025 brings together 2,500 participants representing 153 tribes from 26 states and Union Territories, aiming to cover nearly 50% of India's tribal representation at a single forum.

The Government Notifies Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025

  • The Government of India notified the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Rules, 2025. This marks the full operationalisation of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Together, the Act and the Rules form a clear and citizen-centred framework for the responsible use of digital personal data. They place equal weight on individual rights and lawful data processing.
  • The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology invited public comments on the draft Rules before finalising them. Consultations were held in Delhi, Mumbai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. A wide range of participants took part in these discussions. Start-ups, MSMEs, industry bodies, civil society groups and government departments all offered detailed suggestions. Citizens also shared their views. In total, 6,915 inputs were received during the consultation process. These contributions played a key role in shaping the final Rules.
  • With the notification of the Rules, India now has a practical and innovation-friendly system for data protection. It supports ease of understanding, encourages compliance and strengthens trust in the country's growing digital ecosystem.

Bihar Assembly Election 2025: NDA Clinches Landslide Victory

  • The 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections culminated in a landslide victory for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which secured a commanding 202 out of 243 seats, well above the majority mark of 122. This resounding win marked a major political shift in Bihar and reinforced the alliance's dominance in the region.
  • The BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 89 seats, closely followed by JD(U) with 85, highlighting the combined strength of the ruling alliance. In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan, led by RJD and Congress, managed only 34 seats in total, marking a sharp decline from previous performances.

  • The conference was inaugurated by the Chairman of the CBDT Chairman Ravi Agrawal.

  • The three-day event (November 13–15) aims to chart a sustainable path for the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) under the theme 'Indian Himalayan Region—2047: Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Socio-Economic Growth'.
  • Organised under the ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEFCC), the conclave focuses on developing scientific frameworks to achieve Viksit Himalaya–Viksit Bharat 2047, emphasising that the ecological health of the Himalayas is directly linked to India's long-term development goals.

Tribal Business Conclave 2025 Concludes

  • The Tribal Business Conclave 2025 concluded at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, in the esteemed presence of Union Minister of Commerce & Industry Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, and Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durgadas Uikey, alongside senior officials from DPIIT, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, industry leaders, investors, and over 250 tribal entrepreneurs from across India.

India Hosts International Green Hydrogen Conference 2025

  • The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, hosted the 3rd International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2025) in November at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
