Adline Castelino Wins LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2020 Title

Adline Castelino from Mangalore, Karnataka won LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2020 title and was crowned by Vartika Singh, the winner of the previous edition, at an event held in YRF (Yash Raj Films) Studios, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Adline Castelino will be representing India at Miss Universe pageant 2020.
LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2020: Aavriti Choudhary of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh (MP) crowned as LIVA Miss Diva Supranational 2020 and was crowned by her predecessor Shefali Sood.
Aavriti will represent India at Miss Supranational 2020.
Neha Jaiswal of Pune, Maharashtra was declared as LIVA Miss Diva 2020, runner-up.
The participants underwent training and grooming under the mentorship and guidance of Lara Dutta, Bollywood actor & former Miss Universe.
The judges panel included Lara Dutta, Anntonia Porsild, Asha Bhat, designers Shivan Bhatiya, Narresh Kukreja, Nikhil Mehra and actors Yami Gautam, Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor.

HRD Minister Presents Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal awarded 23 student teams with Chhatra Vishwakarma Awards for their innovations.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has been organising Vishwakarma Awards since the year 2017.
"The projects created by students from different teams solve the problem of the common man.
The awards were instituted by the AICTE in 2017 for promoting innovative spirit and scientific temperament for holistic development of society through the stakeholders of its approved institutes.
Twenty-three teams were selected by a jury for award under 8 different sub-categories. Appreciation certificates and cash prices (Rs. 51,000, Rs. 31,000 and Rs. 21,000) were awarded to the top three teams in each sub-category.

London's World Book of Records Felicitates Manoj Kumar

Actor Manoj Kumar, 82 years old, was felicitated by the World Book of Records (WBR), London, with the WBR Golden Era of Bollywood honour for highlighting patriotic, social and cultural feelings through his contribution to Indian Cinema.
The certificate of honour was presented to Manoj Kumar by Santosh Shukla, Supreme Court Advocate (President World Book of Records), Usman Khan (Vice President, World Book of Records, India) and Professor Rajeev Sharma.
Manoj Kumar was the winner of 47th Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2015 and was also awarded Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1992.
The hit films of Manoj Kumar are Hariyali aur Rasta, Woh Kaun Thi?, Himalay Ki Goad Mein, Upkar, Neel Kamal, Purab aur Paschim, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan and Kranti.

Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards

Malaika Arora and Dia Mirza shared thankful notes on being conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards.
Malaika received the Fit Icon of the Year award, while Dia was honoured with the Best Actress award for web series 'Kaafir'during an event in Mumbai.
Hrithik Roshan was awarded the Best Actor award for his film 'Super 30', while the movie directed by Vikas Bahl was selected as the Best Film.

Indian Freelance Journalist Wins AFP's Kate Webb Prize

Ahmer Khan, the 27-year-old Indian freelance reporter, was named the winner of the 2019 Agence France-Presse Kate Webb Prize in 2020 for his coverage on the ground in Kashmir during the lockdown of the region.
The award, named after one of AFP's finest correspondents, recognises journalism by locally hired reporters in Asia operating in risky or difficult conditions.
Khan was honoured for a series of video and written reports that vividly illustrated the impact on locals in the region following India's decision to abrogate Article 370 that granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir in August.
The Indian government imposed restrictions on movement and a communications blackout in the region.
Despite curfews and a heavy security presence, Khan took to the streets with his camera to document the tensions, concerns and frustrations among the residents of Srinagar and other cities in Kashmir.

Assembly Speaker/Ideal Legislative Council Chairman Award

The Vice President, M. Venkaiah Naidu presented the Ideal Legislative Assembly Speaker/Ideal Legislative Council Chairman Award to the Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, P. Ramakrishnan, at the inauguration of the 10th edition of Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad, in New Delhi in February 2020.

Femina Beauty Awards 2020

The Femina Beauty Awards 2020 was a starry affair with many Bollywood beauties gracing the occasion. A host of actors including Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma among others walked the red carpet.
While the bulk of the awards were for the various beauty products in town, there were five celebrity winners --Beauty Icon of the Year went to Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone won the Powerful Performer Of The Year (Chhapaak), Beauty Entrepreneur of the Year went to Katrina Kaif, Exciting Fresh Face Female was reserved for Ananya Panday while Heartthrob of the Year was picked up by Kartik Aaryan.
