Creator of 'Amul Girl' Passes Away

Sylvester daCunha, advertising legend and the man behind Amul's 'Utterly Butterly' ad campaign, passed away. The ad campaign was launched in 1966 after it was designed by daCunha, who was the then Managing Director of the advertising agency ASP and its art director Eustace Fernandes.
Sylvester conceived the 'Utterly Butterly' campaign for Amul in 1966 introducing the 'Amul girl' to the world which continues even today.

Former Kerala Minister M.A. Kuttappan Passes Away

Congress leader and former Kerala minister M. A. Kuttappan passed away. He was 76.
Kuttappan, a four-time MLA in the Kerala assembly, was a member of the A. K. Antony ministry in 2001 as Minister for the Welfare of Backward Classes and SC/ST. After completing his MBBS, he began his career as a doctor at Alappuzha Medical College and Cochin Port Trust Hospital, before switching to full-time politics.
Kuttappan represented different constituencies throughout his political journey. He was elected to the state assembly from Wandoor in 1980, Chelakkara in 1987, and Njarakkal twice in 1996 and 2001. He played a crucial role during a period of internal conflict within the Congress party in the early 1990s between the 'A' and 'I' groups.

Sumit Seth Appointed India's Next Ambassador to Panama

Sumit Seth, an Indian Foreign Service officer of the 2005 batch, was appointed as India's next ambassador to Panama.
Earlier, he served as Deputy Chief of Mission in Yangon, Myanmar. He was also posted at India's Missions in Madrid, Bogota and Geneva.

Mars Wrigley's Galaxy chocolates signed Bollywood actress Kiara Advani as the brand ambassador. The company made the announcement in collaboration with the actress.
The announcement was followed by a television commercial where the actor is seen in a setting indulging in the chocolates in Istanbul.
The commercial has been conceptualised by the brand's creative agency, DDB Tribal.

Epson India signs Rashmika Mandanna as brand ambassador

Printer company Epson India signed actress Rashmika Mandanna as its brand ambassador. The actress will collaborate with the company to promote its products in a multi-media campaign for its 'EcoTank' printers this month. In collaborating with the actress known for her performances across Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil cinema, the company said that it hopes to leverage her popularity to reach a wider audience across the country, particularly the younger generation.
