During the Ten 2025 athletics meet at San Juan Capistrano in the USA, India's Gulveer Singh broke his own record and created a new national record in the men's 10000m event, as per Olympics.com.
Singh clocked an impressive 27:00.22s and finished sixth.
The race was won by Ishmael Kipkurui (26:50.21), who broke the NCAA record. Habtom Samuel finished second with 26:51.06 while Adrian Wildschutt secured third place in 26:51.27. The Ten is a World Athletics Continental Tour silver-level meet.

Khelo India Para Games 2025 Concludes: Haryana Tops Medal Tally Once Again
The second edition of the Khelo India Para Games (KIPG) 2025 came to a grand conclusion after eight days of intense sporting action. Over the course of the three days of competitions, the para powerlifting saw four national records being set by Jaspreet Kaur (45 kg), Manish Kumar (54 kg), Seema Rani (61 kg), and Jhandu Kumar (72 kg).
Haryana's Pardeep Joon, who had won gold in the first edition of the Khelo India Para Games in December 2023, lifted 194 kg in 107+ kg category and won his second gold medal of the Games.

PT Usha Inaugurates National Maritime Games 2025 in Navi Mumbai

BCCI Central Contract List for Senior Women's 2024-25 Season
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the central contract list for the Indian Women's cricket team. The list included captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and all-rounder Deepti Sharma in the highest annual retainer category of Rs. 50 lakh — Grade A.
The Grade B retainer list, where players will get Rs. 30 lakh, saw left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad dropped. Middle-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues, pacer Renuka Thakur, wicket-keeper batter Richa Ghosh, and opener Shafali Verma all remain in this bracket.
Emerging fast bowler Titas Sadhu, all-rounders Shreyanka Patil, Amanjot Kaur, Arundhati Reddy, and wicketkeeper-batter Uma Chetry have been awarded their maiden central contracts for the 2024-25 season by the BCCI, all placed in the Grade C category.
WFI Chief Sanjay Singh Elected UWW-Asia Bureau Member
Wrestling Federation of India president Sanjay Singh was elected as a member of the United World Wrestling-Asia bureau in the UWW general assembly in Amman, Jordan. The election took place a day before the Asian Championships set to take place in the city.
According to a release by the Wrestling Federation of India, Singh won 28 out of 38 votes.
