Inderjeet's doping ban overturned
The National AntiDoping Agency's appeals panel set aside shot-putter Inderjeet Singh's four-year ban by NADA's disciplinary panel. The appeals panel of lawyer Vibha Datta Makhija, Dr Harsh Mahajan and ex-player Vinay Lamba said the identity and integrity of the samples collected by NADA were compromised.
Inderjeet tested positive twice — on June 22, 2016, during an out of competition test in Bhiwani and on June 29, 2016 during the inter-state in Hyderabad. Inderjeet can now compete but there could be an appeal from WADA in the CAS.
