ICC World Cup 2023: Official Anthem 'Dil Jashn Bole' Featuring Ranveer Singh

The official anthem of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 featuring actor Ranveer Singh is finally out.
Titled 'Dil Jashn Bole' the anthem is composed by music composed Pritam.

Nischal Wins Silver with New National Record at Shooting World Cup in Rio

India's Nischal won the silver medal in women's 50m rifle 3 positions at the ISSF World Cup 2023 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Nischal shot 592 and rewrote Anjum Moudgil's previous national record of 591 set at the President's Cup in 2022. She came second behind reigning world champion Miao Wanru of the People's Republic of China, who shot 594 to top qualifiers but came fourth in the final.
The podium finish by Nischal on the final day of the ISSF World Cup took India's tally to two medals. Elavenil Valarivan won the gold medal in the women's 10m air rifle event.

Indian Shooter Elavenil Valarivan Wins Gold Medal in ISSF World Cup 2023

Indian shooter Elavenil Valarivan won the gold medal in the women's 10 metre air rifle event at the ISSF World Cup 2023 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Olympian Elavenil Valarivan shot 252.2 from her series of 24 shots in the final and narrowly beat France's Oceanne Muller. A total of eight shooters qualified for the final. This was Elavenil Valarivan's second individual ISSF World Cup medal.
Earlier, Elavenil Valarivan finished 9th in the qualification round with 630.5. The Rio meet was the last rifle and pistol ISSF World Cup of 2023. The ongoing event in the Brazilian city will be followed by the finals in Doha, Qatar, scheduled from November 18 to 27. India sent a 16-member squad for the ISSF World Cup.

Sweden's Armand Duplantis Sets Pole Vault World Record at Prefontaine Classic

Sweden's Armand Duplantis didn't exactly remember soaring over the bar to set a new world record at the Prefontaine Classic.
Duplantis and Ethiopia distance runner Gudaf Tsegay both set new world records to wrap up the season at the Prefontaine Classic track and field meet.
Known as Mondo, Duplantis leaped 6.23 meters (20 feet, 5 1/4 inches). The reigning world champion broke his own record of 6.22 meters (20 feet, 4 3/4 inches) set indoors earlier this year.

Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Wins Singapore Grand Prix 2023

Ferrari's Carlos Sainz won the Singapore Grand Prix to end Formula 1 leader Max Verstappen's record run of 10 wins in a row and shatter Red Bull's dream of going through the season unbeaten. McLaren's Lando Norris finished a close second and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton took third place as Red Bull ended up off the podium for the first time since the November 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Neeraj Chopra Fails to Defend his Diamond League Title, Finishes Second

Neeraj Chopra, an Olympic and world champion javelin thrower, finished in second place with a below-par throw of 83.80 m, failing to defend his Diamond League championship successfully. Jakub Vadlejch of Czech Republic became the Diamond League champion for the third time with a best throw of 84.24 m in his sixth and final attempt. He led the six-man field from the beginning following his first-round effort of 84.01 m.
Finland's Oliver Helander came third with an 83.74 m throw, followed by Moldova's Andrian Mardare with a throw of 81.79 m and USA's Curtis Thompson with a throw of 77.01 m.

India Wins Asia Cup 2023

Asia Cup 2023, which was played in the ODI format, concluded with India clinching record 8th time as they defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the final of the continental tournament. To felicitate the finalists, the Asian Cricket Council announced the prize money for Asia Cup 2023 winners and runners-up. The total purse pool for the prize money in Asia Cup 2023 was $4 million among the teams.
The tournament champions got $200,000 as prize money. The losing team in the final of Asia Cup 2023 got the prize money of $100,000.
And it is not just the finalists but other three teams will also take some money as prize.
Though India and Sri Lanka were the finalists, Pakistan ended at third spot followed by Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Sri Lanka announced $50,000 prize money for the dedicated curators and groundsmen at Colombo and Kandy.
Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the player of the series.
The Asia Cup, officially known as the ACC Men's Asia Cup is a men's international cricket tournament contested between Asian countries in either One Day International format (50 overs) and Twenty20 International cricket format (20 overs). It was established in 1983 when the Asian Cricket Council was founded as a measure to promote goodwill between Asian countries. It was originally scheduled to be held every two years. The Asia Cup is the only continental championship in cricket and the winning team becomes the champion of Asia. It alternates every 2-years between ODI and T20 formats.
The first Asia Cup was held in 1984 in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates where the council's offices were based (until 1995).

MotoGP Bharat Ropes in IndianOil as Title Sponsor for the Event

MotoGP Bharat roped in IndianOil as the title sponsor for the event scheduled to take place at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida from September 22 to 24, its promoter Fairstreet Sports announced.
The event will see participation from 42 teams and 84 riders.

Indian Challenge Ends in Hong Kong Open

India's challenge at the Hong Kong Open Super 500 tournament ended after two women's doubles pairs lost in the pre-quarterfinals. Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand were no match for seventh seeds Apriyani Rahayu and Siti Fadia Silva Ranadhanti of Indonesia, losing 8-21 14-21 in just 36 minutes. Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa lost 18-21 7-21 to top seeds Mayu Matsumoto and Wakana Nagahar of Japan in just 38 minutes.
