The Indian Railways is soon going to install aircraft-like black box systems in trains.
The Indian Railway has started installing Loco cab audio video recording system (LCAVR) / Crew Voice/Video Recording System (CVVRS) in Diesel and Electric locomotives.
This system provides invaluable data to investigators which will help them in understanding the sequence of events leading up to an accident and for identifying operational issues and human factors.

Eco-friendly Algae Curtains
Two European architects have developed plant-filled plastic curtains designed to turn building facades into "living walls" that help purify dirty air.
The curtains contain a maze-like network of tubes filled with microscopic algae, which like all green plants remove carbon dioxide from the air while pumping out oxygen via the carbon-sequestering process known as photosynthesis.
Air flows into the bottom of the curtains and rises through the tubes, feeding the microalgae along the way.

Signs of Water Found on Asteroid Bennu
NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft has discovered ingredients for water on a relatively nearby skyscraper-sized asteroid, a rocky acorn-shaped object that may hold clues to the origins of life on Earth.
The probe, on a mission to return samples from the asteroid to Earth for study, was launched in 2016. Bennu, roughly a third of a mile wide, orbits the sun at roughly the same distance as Earth.
There is concern among scientists about the possibility of Bennu impacting Earth late in the 22nd century.

China to Uncover Moon's Dark Side
China launched a rover destined to land on the far side of the moon, a global first that would boost Beijing's ambitions to become a space superpower.
The Chang'e-4 lunar probe mission, named after the moon goddess in Chinese mythology, was launched on a Long March 3B rocket from the southwestern Xichang launch centre.
Chang'e-4 is humanity's first probe to land on and explore the far side of the moon.
