The 15th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship Begins in Jhansi

  • The 15th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship is taking place from April 4 to 15 at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The tournament is following the newly introduced division-based format, first implemented in the Senior Women's National Championship in March.
  • This year (2025), the championship introduced promotion and relegation battles, adding a competitive edge. A total of 30 teams are competing across three divisions: Division A, Division B, and Division C.
  • Division A is the top-tier division, where teams will compete for the national title. Division B will feature teams battling for promotion to Division A, while Division C will see teams aiming to move up to Division B. The bottom two teams from Division A will be relegated to Division B, while the top two from Division B will earn promotion. Similarly, the top two teams from Division C will move up to Division B, and the bottom two from Division B will be relegated.

Indian Team to Play Billie Jean King Cup 2025 Asia-Oceania Group-1
