Suryakumar Yadav to Lead India in Five-match T20I Series against Australia
Suryakumar Yadav was named as India captain for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia, which begins from November 23 to December 3, 2023.
Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was named as vice-captain for the series against the newly-crowned ODI champions, as the hosts only picked three players from the World Cup squad – Prasidh Krishna, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar himself.

Australia Wins the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023
ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Australia lifted the world cup trophy by defeating India with a convincing 6-wicket margin. Australia reached the target in 42.5 overs with six wickets in hand.
With this win Australia has won the World Cup title 6 times viz. 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015 and 2023.
Australia's Travis Head was declared the Player of the Match in his side's 2023 ODI World Cup final win against India in Ahmedabad. The Australian opener was the top-scorer for his side in a 241-run chase, with a 120-ball 137.
Virat Kohli Adjudged Player of the Tournament
Virat Kohli was adjudged player of the tournament after Australia beat India in the ICC ODI World Cup final played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Kohli scored 765 runs in 11 innings including three centuries and six fifties. He averaged 95.62 and scored runs at a strike rate of 90.31.

The AIFF-FIFA academy, to be launched under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme, will be inaugurated by Arsene Wenger, the Chief of Global Football Development, FIFA.
The FIFA TDS is a programme aimed at collaborating with different Member Associations across the world to increase the competitiveness of their national teams. The FIFA has also rolled out its Talent Coaching Programme, with which it intends to provide active on-ground support to the Member Associations.

PCB Appoints Shaheen Afridi as T20I Skipper
Pakistan Cricket Board named Shaheen Shah Afridi as the new white-ball captain, while Shan Masood will lead the men in green in Test matches. The appointment by the PCB came after Babar Azam stepped down as Pakistan captain in all three formats.
Masood has played 30 Tests for Pakistan, scoring 1597 runs at an average of 28.52 with a highest score of 156. Afridi, meanwhile, has taken 104 and 64 wickets respectively in the 53 ODIs and 52 T20s he has played to date.
India into the Final of World Cup 2023
The Indian team won by 70 runs in the match against New Zealand. This was India's tenth successive win and progressed to the final of the 2023 World Cup. India finished on 397-4 (50 Overs) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Mohammed Shami took seven wickets as New Zealand was all out for 327 runs. He became the first bowler to take a seven-wicket haul in an ODI World Cup knockout game He also became the first bowler to pick three five-wicket hauls in one World Cup edition. India beat New Zealand for 1st time in ODI World Cup knockouts. New Zealand, who beat India at the same stage in the 2019 tournament, were bundled out for 327 in the 49th over with Daryl Mitchell's excellent innings of 134 proving to be in vain.

India Finishes Asian Archery Championships in Bangkok with Seven Medals
India ended campaign at Asian Archery Championships in Bangkok with seven medals comprising three gold, a silver and three bronze. On the final day, India won five medals in compound event, including three gold. In the Women's team final, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Parneet Kaur, and Aditi Gopichand Swami defeated Chinese Taipei in a thrilling contest to win the yellow metal. Kaur also won gold in the women's individual event after beating compatriot Vennam in the final. India won their second gold medal of the day after Swami and Priyansh beat Thailand in the final of the Mixed Team event.

Djokovic needed only a match win at the ATP Finals to be sure of keeping the top spot and the 24-time Grand Slam champion secured it in his opener, beating Holger Rune 7-6 (4), 6-7 (1), 6-3.
ATP president Andrea Gaudenzi presented Djokovic with the trophy for his achievement.
Djokovic had already moved ahead of previous record holder Pete Sampras (six years at No. 1) two years ago.
Carlos Alcaraz took the honour last year. But, Djokovic bounced back this year by winning three of the four major titles and finishing runner-up to Alcaraz at Wimbledon.
