IIT Hyderabad, ISRO, India Post Create Digipin, a Digital Address System for India

  • Aiming to clean up India's chaotic address system, IIT Hyderabad, India Post, and ISRO's National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) teamed up to launch DIGIPIN -- a new digital address system designed to simplify how locations are identified across the country, from city apartments to remote villages and even offshore sites.
  • Unlike traditional codes that only point to a general area, DIGIPIN gives a precise digital address that can be accessed using a smartphone with GPS and a high-resolution map app. It works offline, doesn't collect personal data, and is built to handle everything from home deliveries to emergency services and government schemes.

SatSure & Dhruva Space to Offer End-to-End Earth Observation Solutions

  • Bengaluru-based earth observation (EO) start-up SatSure signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hyderabad-headquartered Dhruva Space to jointly offer earth observation-as-a-service (EOaaS) solutions. The two will indigenously develop space-based solutions catering to commercial stakeholders.
  • The partnership will integrate SatSure's downstream capabilities through its subsidiary KaleidEO, which builds EO payloads and analytics platforms. Dhruva will provide upstream expertise in small satellite platforms, launch integration, and ground station infrastructure.

  • India is leading the global GenAI charge, with 92 per cent of employees embracing such tools, well ahead of the global average of 72 per cent, according to a new report by Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
  • The third edition of BCG's annual survey, based on responses from over 10,600 workers across 11 countries, revealed that while AI adoption is strong overall, only 51 per cent of frontline employees are regular users--a figure that has stagnated.
