FC Goa Clinch Second Kalinga Super Cup Title
FC Goa defeated Jamshedpur FC with a 3-0 win and clinched the 2025 Kalinga Super Cup title at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The victory marked FC Goa's first trophy under head coach Manolo Marquez, whose chapter at the club came to an end in the perfect manner. It was Goa's second Super Cup title overall, making them the first club to win the tournament twice.
China Clinches 14th Sudirman Cup Title
China extended its supremacy in world badminton by clinching the Sudirman Cup 2025, defeating South Korea 3-1 in the final held in Xiamen, China.
The Sudirman Cup is the World Mixed Team Badminton Championship, organised by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Inaugurates Khelo India Multipurpose Hall in Arunachal Pradesh
In a boost to sports infrastructure in the Northeast, Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, inaugurated the Khelo India Multipurpose Hall in Kamle district of Arunachal Pradesh. State Ministers Kento Jini and Nyato Dukam were also present on the occasion.
Fully funded by Central Government, the Khelo India Multipurpose Hall has been built at a cost of Rs. 8 Crore. It aims to provide state-of-the-art infrastructure and training facilities to promote grassroots-level sports in the region.
Equipped with modern amenities, the hall will cater to multiple indoor sports including boxing, badminton, judo, wushu, karate, taekwondo, weightlifting, table tennis, and volleyball, enabling young athletes from the region to train professionally and compete at national and international levels.
Kalinga Super Cup Should be an Annual Event
Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo called for the Kalinga Super Cup to become a permanent fixture in the Indian football calendar, following the successful hosting of the tournament in Bhubaneswar.
