Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Deoghar in Jharkhand and launched or inaugurated development projects worth Rs. 16,835 crore, including the Rs. 400–crore Deoghar Airport.
Modi also dedicated to the nation the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Deoghar, which has come up at a cost of Rs. 1100 crore.
The Deoghar Airport will provide direct connectivity to Baidyanath Dham, a religious destination thronged by lakhs of pilgrims from across the country every year.
PM Unveils National Emblem Cast on New Parliament Building
Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the National Emblem cast on the roof of the new Parliament building and interacted with the labourers.
The National Emblem is made of bronze weighing 9500 kg and is 6.5 metre in height.
It has been cast at the top of the Central Foyer of the new Parliament building.
A supporting structure of steel weighing around 6500 kg has been constructed to support the Emblem.
The concept sketch and process of casting of the National Emblem on the roof of the building has gone through eight different stages of preparation from clay modelling/computer graphic to bronze casting and polishing.

Jagan Mohan Reddy Elected Lifetime President of YSR Congress
Chief Minister and national president of YSR Congress Party, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was unanimously elected as lifetime president of the YSR Congress Party.
The process was completed on the concluding day of the YSRC's two-day plenary, after the party constitution was amended to enable Jagan's election as president for lifetime.
Jagan established the YSRC in March 2011 after quitting the Congress. Ever since, he has been continuing as the party president.

Former Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant Takes Role of G20 Sherpa from Piyush Goyal
The Centre appointed Amitabh Kant, former chief executive officer (CEO) of the government's policy think tank NITI Aayog, as India's Sherpa for the Group of Twenty (G20) grouping, replacing Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal.
The appointment comes ahead of India's G20 Presidency from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023, culminating in the first-ever G20 summit to be organised by the country in 2023.
As Sherpa, Kant will be responsible for pre-summit meetings and negotiations with partner countries on various policy issues. Goyal, who is also Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Textiles, was appointed Sherpa in September 2021.

Indian Administrative Service officer Tina Dabi took charge as the Collector of Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan. Before this, Ms. Dabi was posted in Jaipur.
Tina Dabi secured the top rank in the civil service exams in 2015. Tina Dabi is the first Dalit to top the civil services exam.
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia launched 'Mission Kushal Karmi' to upgrade the skills of construction workers. The Delhi government launched this programme with the help of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) and Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that this skill development programme by DSEU, along with Simplex, NAREDCO and India Vision Foundation to make construction workers skilled, is very special. Under this 15 days special training programme, workers will undergo upskilling which will boost their incomes in future.
This will help in increasing the income of workers up to Rs. 8,000. The government aims to train 2 lakh workers in a year under this programme.
To compensate for the loss of wages during the training, all the construction workers will be provided with an amount of Rs. 4,200 each.
