Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Inaugurates the 'Watershed Mahotsav' in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh
Union Minister for Rural Development, and Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the 'Watershed Mahotsav' in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, on November 11, 2025. The event was organised as part of the National Watershed Conference, held from November 10–11, 2025, by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR) under the Ministry of Rural Development, in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Shri Chouhan will arrive in Guntur to formally launch the Mahotsav on the second day of the conference.
S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, Inaugurates 'Cyber Bharat Setu' in Tripura
The Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, in collaboration with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, organised the National Cybersecurity Exercise titled 'Cyber Bharat Setu: Bridging States, Securing Bharat'.
The two-day workshop, from November 11 to and 12, 2025 at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, aims to strengthen cyber awareness, readiness, and response capabilities of the State.
The workshop focuses on strengthening cyber resilience through expert-led training, hands-on drills and simulated scenario-based exercises. The event was inaugurated by S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, Government of India.

LS Speaker Birla to Inaugurates CPA India Conference of Northeastern States
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated the 22nd Annual Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-III in Kohima, Nagaland, in November 2025.
The two-day conference saw the participation of presiding officers and lawmakers from eight Northeastern states.
"The CPA conference deliberated on ways and means to bring assembly proceedings closer to the people in the context of the changes ushered in by the age of artificial intelligence and the digital revolution," Birla told reporters on his arrival at Dimapur.
The conference also discussed issues such as cloudbursts and landslides in the Northeast region and the mitigation measures in this regard.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and Nagaland Assembly Speaker and Chairman, CPA India Region Zone-III, Sharingain Longkumer were present at the conference.
ICG Organises 23rd National Maritime Search and Rescue Board Meeting in Gandhinagar
Indian Coast Guard (ICG) organised the 23rd National Maritime Search and Rescue (NMSAR) Board meeting in November 2025 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The meeting focused on enhancing inter-agency coordination and collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen India's overall search and rescue (SAR) framework. Discussions centred on leveraging technology and modern communication systems to improve operational efficiency and maritime safety standards.
National SAR awards for the year 2023-24 were also presented during the meeting. Following are the awards:
- MV He Yuan Shun 89, a Panama-flagged vessel, received the award in the Merchant Vessel category
- Indian Fishing Boat Kedarnath Bhole was awarded in the Fishing Boat category
- ICG Ship Rajveer received the award for the Government-owned SAR Unit category
- Vessel Traffic System (VTS), Mumbai Port Authority and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) were jointly felicitated in the Ashore Unit category.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India, organised the Curtain Raiser event for the 18th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Exhibition 2025 in Gurugram, Haryana with the theme of 'Urban Development and Mobility Nexus'. The UMI Conference and Exhibition is chaired by Jaideep, Officer on Special Duty (Urban Transport), Dr. Chander Shekhar Khare, Managing Director, Gurugram Metro Rail Ltd., and other senior officials.
Speaking at the Curtain Raiser, Jaideep, highlighted the focus of this year's event on enhancing urban mobility through integrated planning and sustainable transport solutions. He recalled that the National Urban Transport Policy (NUTP), 2006 lays strong emphasis on developing capabilities at the State and City levels to address emerging challenges in urban transport and promote equitable and sustainable systems for all sections of society.
The three-day event includes eight technical sessions, eight roundtables, and two plenary sessions, featuring participation from national and international experts. These deliberations will contribute to evidence-based policymaking and the advancement of sustainable mobility solutions.
