On November 19, 2021 in the morning, several countries will witness the next eclipse of the moon. It will be the longest partial lunar eclipse of the century.
It is going to be the longest lunar eclipse in 580 years.
The eclipse will last about 3 hours, 28 minutes and 23 seconds.
The partial lunar eclipse will be visible across Eastern Asia, Australia, North America, South America, and the Pacific Region. In India, a small part of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam will observe the partial eclipse. End part of the eclipse will be visible from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.
Sci & Tech Ministry Inaugurates "Tech NEEV@75"
Ministry of Science & Technology inaugurated "Tech NEEV@75" as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
On the occasion, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh interacted with successful start-ups including start-ups of tribal communities.
The minister also informed that Central Government will set up 30 Science Technology and Innovation (STI) Hubs across the country for Scheduled Tribes (STs) by end of 2022.
These STI hubs will help in promoting scientific talent among tribal communities as well as overall socio-economic development.
Out of 75 proposed STI Hubs, 20 have already been set up by Department of Science and Technology. These hubs will extend benefit to 20,000 people directly, by means of several interventions spreading across farm, non-farm and other allied livelihood sectors.
Tech NEEV@ 75" is a year-long celebration, highlighting the impact of Science Technology Innovation (STI) in empowering community to create equitable inclusive economic growth. It is 75-hour programme and includes experience sharing of beneficiaries, societal changemakers conclave, community change leaders, and round table discussions by several stakeholders. It also includes compilation of 75 impactful stories on progress of India towards Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.

Starlink Launches New Smaller Dish to Connect with Satellites
Internet Service project, Starlink unveiled a new smaller and rectangular dish, which interested customers can buy to understand SpaceX's growing satellite constellation in low Earth orbit.
The dish is a thinner and lighter-weight option as compared to the circular dish, which is being tested by Starlink beta users over the 2020.
Starlink is the satellite internet project of SpaceX. It was launched with the aim of launching some 12,000 satellites into low Earth orbit to provide broadband internet coverage to people on ground. It will provide services notably in remote and rural areas that lacks traditional internet infrastructure.

SpaceX Launches Indian-origin Astronaut Raja Chari-led Crew 3 Mission
US Space agency NASA and the Elon Musk-owned private rocket company SpaceX have launched the "Crew 3" mission on November 10, 2021. The "Crew 3" mission consists of Indian-origin NASA astronaut Raja Chari as its mission commander. The other three astronauts are NASA's Tom Marshburn (pilot); and Kayla Barron (mission specialist); as well as ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Matthias Maurer (mission specialist).
Under this mission, four astronauts have been sent to the International Space Station (ISS) for a six-month science mission until April 2022. The four-member international crew of astronauts lifted off from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida onboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule named Endurance fixed to Falcon 9 rocket.

Hubble Finds Free-Floating EGGs in Northern Coalsack Nebula
The free-floating Evaporating Gaseous Globules (frEGGs) are the recently-discovered class of star-forming nurseries.
frEGGs are compact globules of interstellar dust and gas within which low-mass stars are being born.
These very rare objects were first identified in Hubble images of the Eagle Nebula in 1995.
They have very long tails and are approximately 100 AU (astronomical units) across.

World's Thinnest X-ray Detector Created
The structural characteristics of biological specimens, such as wet proteins and living cells, can be conveniently probed in their host aqueous media using soft X-rays. Conventional X-ray detectors in this area have low spatial resolution, limited sensitivity, and require complex fabrication procedures. Many of these limitations are overcome by introducing a direct soft X-ray detector based on nanosheets of tin monosulfide (SnS).
The SnS nanosheets respond very quickly, within milliseconds.
You can scan something and get an image almost instantaneously. The sensing time dictates the time resolution.
The soft X-ray detector created by Professor Jasieniak and colleagues is less than 10 nanometers thick.
Previously, the thinnest X-ray detectors created were between 20 and 50 nanometers.
SpaceX Capsule with 4 ISS Astronauts Returns to Earth, Ending 200-day Flight
Four astronauts returned to Earth, riding home with SpaceX to end a 200-day space station mission that began last spring.
Their capsule parachuted into the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Pensacola, Florida.
Their homecoming — coming just eight hours after leaving the International Space Station — paved the way for SpaceX's launch of their four replacements.
