Italian Grand Prix: Red Bull's Max Verstappen Holds off McLaren's Lando Norris for Thrilling Win

  • Three-time world champion and series leader Max Verstappen returned to winning ways on Sunday when he resisted a late charge by Lando Norris to take a dramatic victory for Red Bull at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
  • After being beaten in Miami, where friend and rival Norris claimed his maiden victory for McLaren, the Dutchman resisted him to come home 0.725 seconds ahead of the Briton who mounted a rousing final attack in vain.
  • Charles Leclerc finished third for Ferrari ahead of Oscar Piastri in the second McLaren, Carlos Sainz in the second Ferrari and seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes team-mate George Russell.

Satwik-Chirag Win Second Title of 2024

  • Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated the the Chinese pair of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi 21-15, 21-15 in the final of the Thailand Open. It's a tournament that has a special place in the careers of Satwik and Chirag as they won the title in 2019 for their first Superseries / Super 500 level victory. And on Sunday they clinched their Thailand Open title.

Nandini Dairy will sponsor Scotland for T20 World Cup 2024

  • The management of the Scotland cricket team unveiled its jersey with a logo of Karnataka's home-grown Nandini dairy for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) that runs the Nandini brand is the official sponsor of the Scotland team, and this is the first time the milk brand has gone international.

T20 World Cup to Stream and Broadcast with Sign Language, Audio Description

  • In a first for Indian sports streaming, the ICC Men's T20 cricket World Cup will be streamed with Hindi audio description and Indian Sign Language (ISL) for visually and hearing impaired viewers, Disney+ Hotstar, the streaming service with the rights to stream the tournament this year (2024) announced.

Football Legend Sunil Chhetri Announces Retirement

  • Sunil Chhetri, the legendary player from Indian football who began playing for his country in 2005, announced his retirement from international football.

Boxer Abhishek Yadav Storms into Semi-finals of Elorda Cup

  • India's Abhishek Yadav produced a dominating performance and entered the semi-finals of the Elorda Cup 2024, in Astana, Kazakhstan, beating Kazakhstan's Rakhat Seitzhan.   • India's star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in Federation Cup 2024, held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, with a throw of 82.27 m.
