China Unveils World's Fastest High-Speed Train Prototype
China unveiled an updated model of its high-speed bullet train which its manufacturer claims reached speeds of 450 kmph during the test runs, making it the world's fastest high-speed train.
According to the China State Railway Group Co (China Railway), the new model, known as the CR450 prototype, will further shorten travel time and improve connectivity, making travel more convenient and efficient for the country's vast passengers.
The CR450 prototype reached a test speed of 450 kmph, with key performance indicators — operational speed, energy consumption, interior noise, and braking distance — setting a new international benchmark.

ISRO Launches Historic SpaDeX Mission for Space Docking
India's space journey took a giant leap as ISRO successfully launched the SpaDeX mission to demonstrate space docking capabilities, marking a key milestone in space exploration. Launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR), the PSLV-C60 rocket carried two small spacecraft, SDX01 (Chaser) and SDX02 (Target), to low-Earth orbit. This mission set the stage for autonomous docking and undocking technologies, positioning ISRO as the fourth global player in this field after Russia, the US, and China.
The primary aim of SpaDeX is to develop technology for rendezvous, docking, and undocking of spacecraft in low-Earth orbit.
The successful SpaDeX mission not only boosted India's space capabilities but also laid the groundwork for complex future missions, such as satellite servicing, space station assembly, and lunar exploration.

NASA's Parker Solar Probe Makes Closest Ever Pass By the Sun
NASA's pioneering Parker Solar Probe made history, flying closer to the Sun than any other spacecraft with its heat shield exposed to scorching temperatures of more than 1,700 degrees Fahrenheit (930 degrees Celsius).
Launched in August 2018, the spaceship is on a seven-year mission to deepen scientific understanding of our star and help forecast space-weather events that can affect life on Earth.

ISRO, European Space Agency Sign Agreement for Advancing Human Spaceflight
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the European Space Agency (ESA) signed an agreement to collaborate on activities related to astronaut training, mission implementation, and research experiments.
The agreement was signed by ISRO Chairman S. Somanath, who is also Secretary, Department of Space (DoS), and Dr Josef Aschbacher, Director General of ESA.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperative activities in human space exploration and research, focusing on astronaut training, support for experiment development and integration (including the use of ESA facilities on the International Space Station), human and biomedical research experiments, as well as joint educational and outreach initiatives.

China Breaks US Space Record with 9-Hour Long Spacewalk
China broke the US-held record for the world's longest spacewalk after two of its astronauts completed a nine-hour spacewalk. Chinese astronauts Cai Xuzhe and Song Lingdong, aboard the Tiangong space station, wrapped the nine-hour extravehicular activity (EVA), also known as a spacewalk, at 9.57 pm.
The earlier record was held by US astronauts James Voss and Susan Helms, who spent eight hours and 56 minutes outside the space shuttle Discovery during a mission to the International Space Station on March 12, 2001.
