Ministry of Civil Aviation & FICCI to Jointly Organise 'WINGS INDIA 2022' in Hyderabad
The four-day event, being organised at the Begumpet airport in Hyderabad, with 'India@75: New Horizon for Aviation Industry' as its theme comes amid signs of recovery after the industry was rattled by the pandemic induced restrictions on travel. Asia's largest event on civil aviation, Wings India will feature discussions on different segments and showcase some of the latest products.
Some of the attractions of the event include drone demonstration and exhibition and flying display by SARANG team of Indian Air Force on all four days. Like in the past, Wings India 2022 will also provide a platform to leading players in civil aviation sector to showcase their products.
Nagaland Becomes First Paperless Assembly by Implementing e-Vidhan Application
Nagaland became the first State Assembly in the country to implement the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) programme to become completely paperless. The Nagaland Assembly Secretariat attached a tablet or e-book on each table in the 60 members' assembly amid the Budget session.
NeVA is a work-flow system deployed on NIC Cloud, MeghRaj which helps the Chair of the House to conduct the proceedings of the House smoothly and to conduct Legislative Business of the House in a Paperless manner.
NeVA is a device neutral and member-centric application created to equip them to handle diverse House Business smartly by putting entire information regarding member contact details, rules of procedure, list of business, notices, bulletins, bills, starred/unstarred questions and answers, papers laid, committee reports etc. in their handheld devices/ tablets and equip all Legislatures/Departments to handle it efficiently.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Launches Anti-corruption Helpline Number
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched an anti-corruption helpline that would allow people to upload videos of officials asking for a bribe or indulging in other malpractices.
Punjab's Vigilance Bureau will examine the complaints received, in recorded video or audio formats, on the anti-corruption helpline and take action.
Mann launched the number -- 9501200200 -- on the martyrdom day of legendary freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, and called it "an anti-corruption action line".
Migrants Ask Tripura to Recognise them as Bru Instead of Reang
The migrants from Mizoram, who were permanently resettled in Tripura following an agreement in 2020, asked the state government to recognise them as Bru instead of Reang in the electoral rolls and other documents.
In a letter to chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Mizoram Bru Displaced Peoples Forum secretary Bruno Msha requested him not to mandate the title "Reang or Riang" in their names also in permanent resident certificates. Msha said that they are from the Bru community of the Reang Scheduled Tribe (ST). He added they do not want to be referred to as Reang except in ST certificates.
Over 32,000 Bru migrants came to Tripura. An agreement in 2020 between the Centre, governments of Tripura, Mizoram, and the Bru migrants allowed them to resettle in Tripura permanently.

Pushkar Singh Dhami sworn-in as Uttarakhand Chief Minister for a second term at a grand ceremony that will be held at the Parade Ground in Dehradun in the presence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top brass, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah.
Apart from Modi and Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president J.P. Nadda, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Dhami's Himachal Pradesh counterpart Jai Ram Thakur attended the ceremony.
Bihar First State to Implement Dinamic Map for Village to Track Land Ownership
Bihar became the first state in the country to introduce the concept of a dynamic map for villages which would get updated every time land ownership changes hands. The move is aimed at reducing legal disputes.
According to the Bihar government, in just about a year since February 2021, the state has seen almost 37,000 cases of some land dispute or the other. The move towards dynamic maps is part of a series of steps taken by the state government to implement long-pending land reforms.
The state Assembly had passed the Bihar Land Mutation Amendment Bill, 2021 that made the mutation of maps mandatory.
As such, every time a mutation takes place now, it will entail three changes — first, a change in the text; second, a change in the land parcel; and third, a modification of the survey map.

Senior Congress leader Karan Singh`s son Vikramaditya Singh tendered his resignation from the Indian National Congress stating that the party is unable to realize and reflect the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
In August 2015, he joined Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In October 2017, he resigned as member of Legislative council and PDP. He later joined INC. He was Lok Sabha INC candidate from Udhampur Loksabha constituency in 2019 where he lost to Dr. Jitendra Singh of BJP.

J&K LG's Advisor Resigns
Advisor to LG Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Khan submitted his resignation to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
As per reports, Khan submitted his resignation after discussions with top BJP leadership. Khan is likely to be given an important political assignment in view of Assembly elections in J&K.
It all happened when Home Minister Amir Shah was on two days tour to Jammu, and he was there to plan the future strategy of BJP for upcoming elections on UT which are expected later this year.
Pramod Sawant Gets Second Term as Goa CM
Pramod Sawant was unanimously elected the leader of the BJP legislature party in Goa, paving the way for him to take over as the Chief Minister for a second term.
Sawant's name for the top post was cleared at a meeting of the newly elected BJP MLAs and senior party leaders in Panaji.
Bhagwant Mann Keeps Home Ministry with Himself, Harpal Cheema Gets Finance
Two days after 10 ministers were inducted into the state cabinet, the Punjab government allocated portfolios to the state's ministers. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann retained the home portfolio. Harpal Singh Cheema was appointed the Finance Minister of the state and Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer got the education ministry.
Dr. Vijay Singla, a dental surgeon, was assigned the health portfolio and Dr. Baljit Kaur, an eye surgeon by profession and the lone woman in the cabinet, got the department of Social Security and Development of Women & Children.
Harjot Singh Bains is the new Law and Tourism Minister and Harbhajan Singh ETO was allocated the power department.
Lal Chand Kataruchak was assigned the food and supply portfolio while the rural development and panchayat raj department went to Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.
Laljit Singh Bhullar is the transport minister and Bram Shanker Jimpa has been allocated water and disaster management.
N. Biren Singh Sworn in as Manipur CM
N. Biren Singh was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Manipur for the second consecutive term. The oath of office was administered by Manipur Governor La Ganesan at the Raj Bhawan in Imphal.
Further, four BJP MLAs – Th Biswajit Singh, Yumnam Khemchand Singh, Govindas Konthoujam and Nemcha Kipgen – and Naga People's Front (NPF) leader Awangbou Newmai were appointed as cabinet ministers.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by BJP national president JP Nadda, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, newly-elected MLAs from different parties, BJP leaders and senior bureaucrats, among others.

BJP Names N. Biren Singh as Chief Minister for Second Term
Union Finance Minister Nirmala announced that N. Biren Singh would remain the Chief Minister of the northeastern state of Manipur for a second term.
Sitharaman who was sent to Manipur as central observer by the BJP party said that Singh was unanimously chosen by party's state legislature party as their leader.
The BJP returned to power in Manipur by winning 32 seats in the 60-member House in the recent assembly elections in the state.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan Becomes Longest Serving BJP Chief Minister
Shivraj Singh Chouhan became the longest-serving BJP Chief Minister in office after beating the previous record of 15 years and 10 days set by former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh.
The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister completed 15 years and 11 days in office on March 17, 2022.
Chouhan first became the Chief Minister in November 2005 by replacing Babulal Gaur and remained in the office till 2018.
From December 2018 to March 2020, Kamal Nath was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
In March 2020, the BJP once again formed the government in the state with the help of Jyotiraditya Scindia, with Chouhan taking over as Chief Minister.
Tripura Assembly Polls: TPF Joins BJP
As Tripura`s 60 members assembly is slated to go to the polls early next year, the state is witnessing realignment of political parties. One such alliance Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance (TIPRA Motha) parted ways with Bharatiya Janata Party, hours after indigenous rights activist Patal Kanya Jamatia joined the BJP.
Tribal rights activist and Tripura People's Front (TPF) chief Patal Kanya Jamatia joined the BJP at a programme organised in Agartala, where senior BJP leaders including Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb welcomed newcomers to the party.
Tripura People`s Front was formed in the year 2014 to give voice to the indigenous rights movement.
Sharad-Lalu Reunion after 25 Years, LJD Merges with RJD
Former Union Minister Sharad Yadav merged his Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) led by Lalu Prasad Yadav.
After announcing the merger of the two parties, Sharad Yadav said that the move is the first step towards (the formation of) a united Opposition.
Sharad Yadav had formed the LJD in 2018 after parting his ways from Janata Dal (United) over the party's alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
