UAE Space Agency Signs MoU with Luxembourg

The UAE Space Agency has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Luxembourg, defining a framework for collaboration and the exchange of information and expertise in space science, research and technology.
The MoU promotes cooperation in various aspects of space exploration, including space science, research, technology, remote sensing and navigation. In addition to this, the MoU encourages collaboration in space policy, law, regulation, and personnel training for space activities.

Fourteenth Falcon 9 Launch

California-based private spaceflight company SpaceX successfully launched 10 satellites into low-Earth orbit aboard its Falcon 9 rocket.
The rocket carried satellites for Iridium Communications, as part of the company's Iridium NEXT constellation.

Japan launches Satellite of Positioning System

Japan successfully launched the fourth and final satellite that makes up its terrestrial positioning network system, which will improve the current GPS services and help create a better communications system during a disaster.

TRAI's 4G Upload Speed Rankings (September)

As per data compiled by telecom regulator Trai's MySpeed app, Idea Cellular achieved the highest 4G upload speed in September.
Idea Cellular topped the chart in terms of average 4G upload speed for September at 6.307 mbps.
According to the data available on the TRAI site, Idea took the pole position in 4G upload speed, followed by Vodafone, Reliance Jio and Airtel. In terms of 4G download speed, Idea ranked third, after Jio and Vodafone.

Open Platform GPS Tracking Device

Domestic vehicle telematics technology startup Trak N Tell launched open platform GPS tracking device Trakpod.
With the `Live Vehicle Tracking` enabled in the device, users can see the movement of their vehicle in real-time via Trak N Tell app. Users can also set up a limit and get an instant alert on the app every time the car goes above that limit.
The device offers a web application programme interface (API) that is used by customers to integrate vehicular data into their enterprise resources planning (ERP).

A NASA study has found that the moon had an atmosphere about three to four billion years ago, when intense volcanic eruptions spewed gases above the surface faster than they could escape to space.

In a bid to bolster its Mixed Reality vision, Microsoft has acquired Redwood City, California-based virtual reality social network AltspaceVR.
With the AltspaceVR team aboard, Micrsoft looks forward to build the world`s pre-eminent mixed reality community.
AltspaceVR is one of the pioneers in immersive communications.

Five Giant Black Hole Pairs Spotted

Scientists have identified five pairs of supermassive black holes, each millions of times the mass of the sun, that could help better understand the phenomenon of gravitational waves – ripples in the fabric of space and time.
These black hole couples formed when two galaxies collided and merged with each other, forcing their supermassive black holes close together.
