At 13 years and 188 days, Suryawanshi from Samastipur in Bihar, became the youngest ever to score an international century at any level.
Vaibhav made 104 off 62 in his unique authoritative style that defied his age. His century that came off 58 deliveries is the fastest ever by an Indian and second overall in U 19s behind Moeen Ali's 56 that came in 2005.
India to Host Historic First-Ever Kho Kho World Cup in 2025
Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) in collaboration with the International Kho Kho Federation revealed plans to organise the inaugural Kho Kho World Cup in India in 2025. This historic event marks a significant milestone in the journey of this traditional Indian sport toward global recognition.
The groundbreaking championship will feature: 24 countries from six continents, 16 men's teams and 16 women's teams and will be a week-long series of high-intensity matches.

France's Antoine Griezmann Announces Retirement from International Football
France's 2018 World Cup-winning star Antoine Griezmann announced his retirement from international football, bringing to an end a 10-year career with his country.
The Atletico Madrid forward made his France debut in March 2014 and won 137 caps, a figure beaten only by his former teammate Hugo Lloris (145) and 1998 World Cup winner Lilian Thuram (142).
Griezmann is also fourth in France's list of all-time goal-scorers with 44, behind only record marksman Olivier Giroud, Thierry Henry and current captain Kylian Mbappe.
Griezmann scored in France's 4-2 win over Croatia in the final of the 2018 World Cup in Moscow, having previously helped his country reach the final of Euro 2016, a tournament he ended as top scorer with six goals.
India Set New Test Batting Records in Kanpur
On day four of the second Test match against Bangladesh, India smashed the record for the fastest team hundred and fastest team double hundred in Test cricket.
The team reached 50 runs in just three overs courtesy of explosive starts from Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Despite the early loss of Rohit Sharma, India's aggressive onslaught continued as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill powered the team to the fastest team hundred in Test cricket history.
India achieved this goal in just 10.1 overs breaking their own world record from 2023 where they reached hundred in 12.2 overs against West Indies in Port of Spain.
India's aggressive batting continued as Virat Kohli scored 47 off 35 balls and KL Rahul added 68 off 43 balls, propelling the team to another record. With this performance, India shattered the record for the fastest team score of 200 in Test cricket, achieving the milestone in just 24.2 overs. The previous record was held by Australia, who reached 200 runs in 28.1 overs against Pakistan in Sydney in 2017.
Virat Kohli Becomes Fastest Batter to Reach 27,000 Runs
India batting maestro Virat Kohli became the fourth batter to complete 27,000 international runs during the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur.
Kohli completed 27,000 runs across all formats, joining an exclusive club of batters which includes Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara.
Kohli also broke Tendulkar's record to become the quickest batter to reach 27,000 runs in only his 594th innings, 29 innings faster than Tendulkar, who got there in 623 innings in 2007. Sri Lankan Sangakkara achieved the mark in 2015 in his 648th innings, while Ponting scaled the mark in his 650th outing for Australia.

Gulveer Singh Breaks His 5000m National Record in Japan
India's Gulveer Singh set a new national record en route to winning the men's 5000m gold in the Yogibo Athletics Challenge Cup of World Athletics Continental Tour at Niigata, Japan. Gulveer won the race with a time of 13:11.82 and improved upon his own national record earlier this year.
Gulveer Singh emerged the winner with a just under two-second gap over Japan's Mebuki Suzuki, who took second place with a personal best of 13:13.80. Another Japanese runner, Kotaro Shinohara, took third place.
All-Rounder Ravindra Jadeja Joins Elite Club in Test Cricket History
The ongoing India vs Bangladesh 2 test match series, Ravindra Jadeja became the first Indian left arm spinner to take 300 test wickets in Test cricket. The all rounder became the second fastest player who scored 3000 test runs and scalped 300 test wickets. It is a huge achievement for him and he joins the elite list in the history of cricket.
In the country's 92 years cricketing history Ravindra Jadeja became the fourth quickest Indian bowler to take 300 wickets in his 74th test match behind Ravichandran Ashwin (54 Test), Anil Kumble (66 Test), Harbhajan Singh (72 Test).

BCCI's New Centre of Excellence Inaugurated
Three grounds – including one with 85-yard boundaries across all sides – with 86 different types of outdoor and indoor ones in total, a state-of-the-art sports science medicine lab, and a fully-furnished gym facility are among the striking aspects of the BCCI's new Centre of Excellence on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
Spread over 40 acres, out of which 33 are utilised, the facility was inaugurated by BCCI president Roger Binny and secretary Jay Shah.
Malaysia's Iconic Shah Alam Stadium Demolished amid Safety Concerns
The iconic Shah Alam Stadium, one of Malaysia's premier sports venues with a seating capacity of 80,372, met its demise as concerns over its safety rendered it unfit for use. Established in 1994, the stadium not only served as the backdrop for exhilarating football matches but also hosted globally renowned concerts.
At the heart of the decision to demolish was Stadium Director Azmi Rahman revealed that in inspections carried out in 2020, it was concluded that the structure posed safety risks.
This decision was reached after extensive discussions with concerned parties. Shocking many, the stadium's demolition was a poignant moment for fans and the local community.

All-Rounder Shakib Al Hasan from Bangladesh Set to Retire from Tests and T20IS
Bangladesh's all time great cricketer Shakib Al Hasan is set to retire from the Tests and modern T20 format. Shakib made the decision public during a press conference ahead of the second India-Bangladesh Test in Kanpur.
He has already played his final T20I, and wishes to bid goodbye to the longer format in the home Tests against South Africa.
He also confirmed that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be his final ODI assignment for Bangladesh.
