India ended its participation in the 2025 Para Archery Asia Cup in Thailand with six gold medals, finishing at the top of the medal table. National Games: Dev Meena Rewrites National Record
Dev Meena one of India's most promising young athletes added to his burgeoning reputation by breaking the three-year-old national record, crossing 5.32 m at the National Games at Maharana Pratap Sports College.
Meena broke the previous national record of Siva Subramani, which stood at 5.31 m and was set at the 2022 National Games Gujarat. With his feat, Meena, who hails from Madhya Pradesh became the best pole vaulter in the country, holding both U20 and senior national records.

In the men's 63.5 kg category final, Shiva Thapa, who represented India at the London 2012 Olympics, had to settle for silver after suffering a narrow 4-3 defeat against Vanshaj of Services Sports Central Board.

The competition will be held from July 23 to August 2, 2026 and will feature a 10-sport programme concentrated across four venues within an eight-mile corridor of the city.
While mixed 4x400m relay has been added to the schedule, Commonwealth Mile will make a comeback for the first time since 1966.
