Puducherry Premier League
The BCCI gave permission to Puducherry to conduct its own Twenty20 Premier League.
Replying to a request for the same from the Cricket Association of Puducherry (CAP), the Board CEO Rahul Johri said that while the BCCI had no objection to the Puducherry Premier League (PPL), it, according to a clause in the BCCI advisory, could not conduct the competition from August 25 to September 10 as sought by the CAP.
This means it will be hard for the CAP to hold the tournament this year since the Twenty20 leagues cannot be conducted once the BCCI domestic season commences from late September.
