Karthik Narain Joins Google Cloud as Chief Product Officer
Karthik Narain, a former Accenture Chief Technology Officer, was appointed as the Chief Product and Business Officer of Google Cloud. The announcement was welcomed by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who expressed optimism that Narain's leadership will help accelerate the company's growth in AI and cloud services. This strategic hire came as Google Cloud deepens its enterprise offerings and expands its AI capabilities globally.
Karthik Narain brings with him over 25 years of experience in the technology and consulting industry.
Before joining Google, he served as the CTO of Accenture, where he led AI, data, and cloud innovation at a global scale.
He also held key roles at HCLTech and other major technology firms, building a reputation for deep expertise in enterprise systems and business transformation.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), under the Department of Space (DOS), organised a Curtain Raiser event for Emerging, Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC 2025) focussing on Space Technologies theme.

India completed a dominant kabaddi double at the 2025 Asian Youth Games at Bahrain, with both Under-18 teams claiming gold medals while remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. The girls' team demolished Iran 75-21 in the final, recording the largest victory margin in a Youth Games kabaddi final since 2013.
The boys' team secured a nail-biting 35-32 victory over Iran in the final.
This was the third edition of the Asian Youth Games.

Piyush Pandey, Padma Shri Recipient and Indian Advertising Legend, Passes Away
Piyush Pandey, the legendary architect of Indian advertising and Padma Shri awardee, passed away at the age of 70. Known for transforming Ogilvy India into a global powerhouse, Pandey revolutionised advertising by blending Hindi, colloquial phrases, and relatable Indian emotions into campaigns. Some of his iconic works include Asian Paints' "Har khushi mein rang laaye," Cadbury's "Kuch Khaas Hai," Fevicol, and Hutch ads, which became cultural touchstones. He also co-created the memorable political slogan "Ab ki baar, Modi sarkar."
