Zimbabwean President Mnangagwa Re-elected for 2nd and Final Five-year Term
Emmerson Mnangagwa secured a second term as Zimbabwe's preSident in a poll marred by electoral malpractice.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) declared Mnangagwa the winner, with 52.6% of the vote, beating Nelson Chamisa of the Citizens' Coalition for Change (CCC), who trailed at 44%.
The election comes six years after longtime ruler Robert Mugabe was removed from power in a military coup.

Indian Oil, L&T, ReNew form JV for Green Hydrogen Projects
A joint venture of Indian Oil Corporation, L&T and ReNew to focus on green hydrogen projects was incorporated with the three partners investing Rs. 1 crore each in its authorised capital.
The JV company GH4India Private Ltd., incorporated has been formed for the purpose of development of green hydrogen and its derivatives, including green ammonia and methanol, besides production assets and associated renewable assets through any model of ownership and operatorship.

Jharkhand Govt. Inks MoU with TGESPL for India's First Hydrogen Fuel Project
The Jharkhand Government inked a pact with TCPL Green Energy Solutions Private Limited (TGESPL). It is a joint venture between Tata Motors and Cummins Inc, USA to set up the country's first hydrogen fuel project in Jamshedpur at an estimated cost of over Rs. 350 crore. Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren said that for the first time in the country Tata Cummins and Jharkhand government's Industrial department have taken such a step. Now vehicles will work on hydrogen. Its developmental work will be held in Jharkhand. This will be used in the whole country. This decision of Jharkhand is like a milestone for the rising concerns on the environment.
NASA, SpaceX Sends Four Astronauts from Four Countries to ISS
Four astronauts from four countries, including the US, Denmark, Japan, and Russia, launched aboard a SpaceX rocket towards the International Space Station (ISS) from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This was the first US take-off in which all the astronauts atop the spacecraft belonged to a different country, until now, NASA had always included two or three of its own on its SpaceX flights.
Known as Crew-7, the mission includes NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Andreas Mogensen, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov.

The visually challenged Indian women's cricket team scripted history winning a gold medal beating Australia by nine wickets at the IBSA World Games.
India restricted Australia for 114/8 in the allotted 20 overs and then chased down the revised target of 42 in 3.3 overs. Cricket for visually challenged made its debut in International Blind Sports Federation World Games this year. This was the first final in the World Games and India won the ultimate showdown beating Australia by nine wickets in a rain-affected final.
MP Govt. Hikes Financial Aid, 35% Reservation in Govt. Jobs for Women
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan raised the financial aid given to women in the Ladli Behna Scheme from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,250 per month. Apart from this, the MP CM also announced 35 per cent reservation for them in government jobs.
Women in the 23-60 age group get Rs. 1,000 per month under the scheme if they are not income tax payees and the annual income of their families is less than Rs. 2.5 lakh annually.

Israel Begins Test Flights of 'Cutting-edge' Spy Aircraft
Israel's military started test-flying Oron, a Gulfstream G550-based reconnaissance aircraft equipped with intelligence systems.
As per the Defence Ministry, after integrating the intelligence systems into "the cutting-edge" Oron aircraft, the military has started test flights.
The aircraft will provide the Israeli military with "unprecedented intelligence capabilities across expansive terrain, enabling real-time monitoring of ground movements under diverse weather and visibility conditions.
Oron was delivered in 2021 by US-based Gulfstream Aerospace to the Israeli Air Force as a special-missions G550 variant for surveillance operations.
Russian investigators confirmed that Wagner Group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin was among the 10 people killed when their plane crash, after carrying out genetic tests.
Prigozhin, who led a failed uprising against the Kremlin, had previously been named as one of those on board the private plane, which crashed in a field northwest of Moscow while en route to St. Petersburg.
The Wagner Group, officially PMC Wagner is a Russian state-funded private military company (PMC) controlled until 2023 by Yevgeny Prigozhin.
The Wagner Group first appeared in 2014, during the Russian annexation of Crimea. Until 2022 it was unclear who founded and led the group. Both Dmitry Utkin and Yevgeny Prigozhin have been named as its founders and leaders.

Archaeologists Unearth 3,000-year-old Priestly Tomb in Northern Peru
Archaeologists in northern Peru unearthed a 3,000-year-old tomb which they believe might have honoured an elite religious leader in the Andean country some three millennia ago.
Dubbed the 'Priest of Pacopampa', referring to the highland archaeological zone where the tomb was found, the priest was buried under six layers of ash mixed with black earth, with decorated ceramic bowls and seals indicating ancient ritual body paint used for people of elite standing.
Two seals were also found along the upper edges of the tomb, one with an anthropomorphic face looking east and another with a jaguar design facing west.
