| Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued notification of National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) (I) Examination 2017 for admissions into Army, Navy and Air Force wings. Interested candidates may check the eligibility criteria and apply online till 10-02-2017. The NDA exam is conducted twice in a year in the month of April (NDA I) and in the month of September (NDA II). The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the conducting body of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examinations. | Eligibility Criteria for NDA and NA (I) Exam 2017: |
| Educational Qualification: For Indian Army wing of National Defence Academy: The candidates must have passed, or must be appearing in, class 12th from a recognised board or university. For Air Force and Navy wings of National Defence Academy: The candidates must have passed, or must be appearing in, class 12th with Physics and Mathematics from a recognised board or university. |
| Age Limit: Born not earlier than July 2, 1998 and not later than July 1, 2001 |

Every year, thousands of students appear for the NDA exam to become a commissioned officer in the Indian Defence Forces. The candidate-selection process comprises two phases: 1. Written Test 2.
