| Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for Civil Services Examination, 2015. The Preliminary Examination of Union Public Service Commission for Civil Services Examination is also popularly called CSAT or Civil Services Aptitude Test. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 19th June, 2015. | Total Number of Posts: The number of vacancies to be filled by UPSC CSAT 2015 is 1129 posts which include 29 vacancies reserved for PHC category candidates. | ||||||
| Age Limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August, 2015. i.e the candidate should not born earlier than 2nd August, 1983 or later than 1st August, 1994 for CSAT 2015 exam. | ||||||
| Educational Qualification: The candidate must hold a degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India. | ||||||
| Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the written examination and the interview. | ||||||
| Exam Pattern: | ||||||
| Preliminary Examination: The examination shall comprise of two compulsory papers, each of 200 marks. (i) Both the question papers will be of objective type (multiple choice questions). (ii) The General Studies Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%. iii) The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English. (iv) Each paper will be of two hours duration. |
