Q 104 Successful communication is one in which sender is able to clarify his point to the receiver.Communication is of different types and it varies with time.like in past the communication is done by only face to face .But with the advent of technology,the methods of communication become manifold.Now they prefer many other methods than in the past. So some have a point that only picture communication is best than language for interact with lagre number of people.But personally i think that only images are not fulfill the communication. first of all,we all know that picture is worth 100 words.but if these words are not explain with sender's language then it will lead to chaos.Receiver by seeing images develop their own logics which may not coincide with sender's viewpoint.to sustantiate this view an example can be cited that a presentator giving his presentation only by visual media then audience will not be able perceive the information given by the source. Futhermore,a commucnication will never be successful if one or other end did not take part in it.With pictures if receiver has some problem about the topic then he/she may not be able to clarify it.For instance,a only visual presentation for marketting is given to group and no supplementary language explanation was given,then some people might not be able to cognize it. Additionally,perceiving power varies from person to person.So if only visual aid is used in communication a person who is comfortable in language communication lags and in this way the communiaction will not be successful.So for successful communication both are important. To sum up,i would like to say that if picture and language are going side by side then communication will be more effective.In both when one lacks,other will compensate it.In this way both will play a crucial role in communication by filling the gaps of one other.
