The issue presents the thinking of people regarding ,imparting education to students from  the student's field of study as well as variety of courses outside it.Some believe students sholud be educated like this whereas others lay emphasis on teaching the students only those subjects which would provide them jobs in their choosen fields.

 

As it is very commonly said, that incomplete information is dangerous, so i believe that universities should take variety of courses outside the student's field.Let us take a very small hypothetical example:A science teacher has encounterd a maths based problem in his subject,then if he has the knowledge of maths, only then he wolud be able to solve it.So it is very much clear, that a truely educated is one, who knows something about everything and everything about something.It is obvious that any student enrolled in particular field would be made well acquainted with his or her own field subjects.In addition, providing them with the knowledge of other areas wolud also prove beneficial.As we have seen, the role of universities is to impart education along with preparing the students for their jobs.WHat if they are providing extra in addition to the required content? We know that usually ech field is a little bit connected to the other field.So it would be good idea of  providing education from other fields too.

 

If students are taught with only those subjects which would provdie them jobs chances are there that at sum point they may require knowledge of other field.again considering an example: Suppose a person A is working in any software company,and A is very good at creating and managing softwares only.A situation arises that there is some problem in networking due to which his software is not working proerly and in this situation A would be unable to solve it. Undoubtedly, A had skills in his own branch but still he was unsuccessful.So here i want to empasize that a person may not prove to be as capable as he can be.

Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one(acc to MALCOLM FORBES).So student's tendency is to grab the things, he or she is being taught.Imparting knowledge to then in thier field as well as otuside it would increase thier capability.They can explore the wider things with wider education.
