Why does the professor say this?

To encourage the student to consult the text

To indicate that this aspect is not important for the current discussion

To make a joke of the student's question

To change the topic as the professor does not know the answer

Listen to part of the lecture again and answer the question:

What does the teacher mean by "This was simple physics"?

Man was acquainted with the principles of physics.

Man made the first laws of physics.

Man had commonsense.

Man unknowingly chanced in on a basic principle of physics.

Why not C. isn't it too direct to say that man unknowingly chanced on it. Maybe the man then knew about it, though was not a physics principle then.

Why is Darwin`s theory not entirely acceptable?

Because it emphasizes homology

Because of the assumption of common ancestry

Due to its emphasis on speciation

Convergence does not necessarily point towards a similar source of genes.
