Sikkim becomes India's fifth fully literate state

On 27 May 2026, Sikkim was declared the fifth fully literate state under the ULLAS – Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram. Sacred Sanchi relics to be sent to Mongolia on PM Modi’s initiative

Assam passes Uniform Civil Code Bill, 2026
