Indian Army Hosts Inno-Yoddha 2025 to Promote Soldier-Led Innovation
The Indian Army conducted its annual Idea and Innovation Competition and Seminar, Inno-Yoddha 2025 in New Delhi. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Pushpendra Pal Singh, Vice Chief of the Army Staff, who felicitated the selected innovators. The Ministry of Defence informed that this year's edition recorded 89 submissions, the highest so far, reflecting the growing culture of innovation within the forces. After an evaluation, 32 innovations were chosen for further development. These soldier-driven solutions aim to strengthen operational readiness, logistics efficiency and training standards across the Army. It added that over the past five years, the Army's innovation ecosystem has delivered notable results.

Australia's Victoria University Sets Up its First India Campus in Gurugram
Victoria University (VU) the foundation for its Delhi NCR Campus, located in Gurugram, Haryana. Once operational, it will become India's first international campus to teach through VU's Block Model. VU was among the first Australian universities granted a licence by the Indian government to establish a campus in India under the new National Education Policy (NEP).
The campus is expected to open by mid-2026, launching with undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in business, information technology, and research. Inspired by VU's modern City Tower Campus in Melbourne, the new India campus aims to bring Australian education closer to Indian students at an affordable cost, reducing the need for expensive overseas travel and accommodation.
Delhi Govt Announces Initiative to Include 'AI Skills' in Curriculum for Students Class 6 Onwards
The Delhi government has announced the launch of its Delhi AI Grind initiative across all its schools from class 6 onwards. Delhi AI Grind, a citywide AI innovation initiative, shall be implemented across all education districts of Delhi from December to March. The initiative will be for students between the age group of 10-25 years, with mandatory participation for students of classes 6-9 and 11, as per the programme guidelines.

India, Russia Deepen People-to-People Ties With Labour Pact, Free 30-Day E-Tourist Visas
India and Russia, in December 2025, signed agreements to enhance skilled worker mobility and ease travel between the two countries, according to a joint statement issued after talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin. The agreements are part of the broader efforts to strengthen cultural, educational, and people-to-people ties under the India-Russia Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership.
The labour mobility agreement facilitates temporary employment for citizens of one country in the territory of the other, aiming to promote professional exchanges and strengthen economic collaboration. In addition, both countries agreed to grant a 30-day e-tourist visa on a gratis basis to each other's nationals, further simplifying travel and promoting tourism.
