Adani Signs MoU for 5,000 MW Hydro Projects in Bhutan

  • Gautam Adani-led Adani Group signed an agreement with Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) of Bhutan to jointly develop hydropower projects totalling 5,000 MW capacity in the neighbouring country.
  • The agreement was signed in Thimphu by DGPC's MD and Adani Green Hydro Ltd's COO (PSP & Hydro) in the presence of the PM Dasho Tshering Tobgay. This MoU builds on the ongoing partnership for the Wangchhu Hydropower Project, in which DGPC will hold a majority 51 per cent stake.

LG Electronics India Limited Begins Construction of Its Third Manufacturing Plant in India

  • LG Electronics India Ltd. (LGEIL) announced the commencement of construction of its new manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The new plant is expected to commence operations by the end of 2026.
  • Strategically located in Sri City's industrial area, the new manufacturing facility will enhance LGEIL's production capacity and also enable local employment in the region. The new facility will be LG Electronics' third plant in India. The other two plants are located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh and Pune, Maharashtra.

IIM Raipur, Chhattisgarh Government Launches fully-funded MBA in Public Policy and Governance

  • Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, a leading Indian institution, launched a two-year MBA in Public Policy and Governance under the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship (CMGGF). The program is designed to nurture future leaders in public policy by blending academic excellence to build impactful careers in government, public sector enterprises, and policy think tanks.
  • The Chhattisgarh government will fully sponsor the program by covering the fees for all the enrolled students, and provide a monthly stipend of Rs. 50,000 to support the academic pursuits, studies, along with boarding and lodging during academic sessions at IIM Raipur.

Ambedkar University Delhi Announces MA in Pol Science, D Litt Programme

  • The Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) announced the launch of two new academic programmes — Master's in political science and Doctor of Literature (D.Litt) — for the 2025-26 academic year.
  • AUD vice-chancellor Anu Singh Lather also unveiled the university's admission brochure for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  • A total of 1,123 undergraduate and 1,491 postgraduate seats are on offer this year.
