Russian President Vladimir Putin replaced Sergei Shoigu as Defence Minister in a Cabinet shakeup that comes as he begins his fifth term in office.
In line with Russian law, the entire Russian Cabinet resigned following Putin's glittering inauguration in the Kremlin, and most members were widely expected to keep their jobs, while Shoigu's fate had appeared uncertain.
Putin signed a decree appointing Shoigu as secretary of Russia's Security Council. The appointment was announced shortly after Putin proposed Andrei Belousov to become the country's Defence Minister in place of Shoigu.

Indian Coast Guard Inks MoU with Hindalco for Indigenous Marine-Grade Aluminium
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Hindalco Industries, a leading industry group, joined forces to promote the manufacturing and supply of indigenous marine-grade aluminium for the construction of ships. The collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to enhance India's self-reliance in the shipbuilding sector.
The ICG fleet currently operates 67 ships with aluminium hulls, designed for operations in shallow waters. To further bolster coastal security, the Coast Guard has planned to induct more such vessels, and the indigenously manufactured marine-grade aluminium will be utilized in their construction.
Under the terms of the MoU, Hindalco Industries will manufacture and supply marine-grade aluminium to Indian public and private shipyards for shipbuilding purposes. The agreement also offers several benefits, including:

N. Chandrasekaran to Chair Tata Electronics

Nepal's legendary mountaineer Kami Rita Sherpa made history by breaking his record for the highest number of ascents of Mt. Everest as he scaled the world's highest peak for the 29th time.
The expedition was organised by the Seven Summit Treks and had 20 climbers.
The climbing members were from countries including the USA, Canada and Kazakhstan besides thirteen climbers from Nepal.
Kami had climbed Everest for the first time in 1994.
Author Ruskin Bond Receives Sahitya Akademi Fellowship
Eminent English author Ruskin Bond was awarded the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Fellowship at his Mussoorie home.
Bond was named a recipient of Akademi's highest honour in September 2021. However, due to his ill health, he could not be given the honour in person.
Bond has been actively writing for more than 50 years and has written in various genres of literature, including short stories, children's books, novels, autobiographical works and non-fiction.

Swaminathan has had an illustrious career spanning over 40 years in clinical care and research.
