Kuwait's Emir appointed Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as the new Prime Minister following the resignation of Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. Sheikh Ahmad, born in 1952, brings extensive experience in finance and government, having held various ministerial positions.
He has a notable career history, including roles at Kuwait's Finance Center and the Central Bank of Kuwait. Additionally, he served as chairman of the board for Burgan Bank before assuming several ministerial positions, such as Minister of Finance, Minister of Communications, Minister of Planning, Minister of State for Administrative Affairs, Minister of Health, and Minister of Oil.

India made a declaration to achieve debris-free space missions by 2030.
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman S. Somanath made the declaration at the 42nd Inter-Agency Space Debris Coordination Committee (IADC) annual meet.
It is one of the intent or initiative of India to ensure that debris-free space missions are conducted so as to ensure the sustainability of space.

Nepal's 24-year-old all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee etched his name in the history books by smashing six sixes in a single over during the ACC Men's T20I Premier Cup clash against Qatar in Al Amerat. Airee's incredible display of power and precision joined the elite company of Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard, who had previously achieved the same feat in Men's T20Is.
Airee's six sixes in an over followed in the footsteps of two cricketing legends. Yuvraj Singh was the first to achieve this feat, doing so during the 2007 ICC Men's T20 World Cup against England, where he smashed Stuart Broad for six consecutive maximums. India's First Olympic Studies and Research Centre to Open in Gujarat
In a key development for India's sports education landscape, the country is set to inaugurate its first Olympic Studies and Research Centre (OSRCs) in Gujarat. Named the Bharat Centre for Olympic Research and Education (B-CORE), this pioneering facility will be hosted by the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in Gujarat. With an expected opening tentatively scheduled for July 2024, B-CORE is poised to become the premier hub for Olympic research and education not only in India but also in South Asia.
Endorsed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), B-CORE will serve as a platform for scholars, professionals, athletes, and coaches, striving to deepen their understanding of Olympism and its impact on society. Founded in 2009 by the Government of Gujarat and later taken over by the Government of India in 2020, Rashtriya Raksha University's focus has been in the field of national and internal security studies. With the introduction of B-CORE, the university expands its field to sports as well.
DRDO Chairman Samir Kamat Inaugurates Indian Navy's 'SPACE' in Kerala
A state-of-the-art Submersible Platform for Acoustic Characterization and Evaluation (SPACE) was inaugurated at Kerala's Idukki.
Samir V. Kamat, Secretary, Department of Defence--Research and Development (R&D)--and Chairman, DRDO, inaugurated the platform at Underwater Acoustic Research Facility in Kulamavu in Idukki.
As per reports, SPACE, set up by the Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory of DRDO, has been designed as a premier testing and evaluation hub for sonar systems destined for Indian Navy onboard various platforms, including ships, submarines and helicopters.
The SPACE marks a milestone in naval technology advancement. It will consist of two distinct assemblages- a platform that floats on the water surface, and a submersible platform that can be lowered to any depth up to 100 m using winch systems. Upon completion of operations, the submersible platform can be winched up and docked with the floating platform.

An Ayodhya Lord Ram Idol Replica to be Installed in Netherlands
A Kashi-based sculptor crafted a replica of the idol of Ram Lalla consecrated at the Ayodhya temple.
This replicated idol will be enshrined in a Hanuman temple in the Netherlands.
Before its overseas journey, the idol will be brought to Ayodhya for rituals.
The EterBliss Foundation, dedicated to promoting Sanatan Dharma, commissioned this replica idol. Moreover, the Foundation intends to install replicas of Ram Lalla idols in various other European countries.
