Russia Pulls Out of Treaty of Conventional Armed Forces in Europe
Russia formally withdrew from the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE), an agreement signed in 1990 after the fall of the Berlin Wall that set limits on key categories of conventional military equipment in Europe and mandated the destruction of excess weaponry.
As per reports, two other legally binding agreements, the Budapest agreement of 1990 and the CFE's Flank Document, which were linked to the treaty, are also withdrawn.
According to Russian Foreign Ministry, the treaty was not catering to Russia's interests, claiming that NATO countries began to circumvent restrictions imposed as the alliance expanded.
Italian Luxury Brand, Brioni, Enters Indian Market
Luxury Italian menswear brand Brioni, best known for its James Bond connection during Pierce Brosnan's stint as 007, opened its first boutique in India. The store opened in the luxury retail complex The Chanakya in Delhi.

Brioni offers made in Italy, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, and accessories, both for formalwear and leisurewear, as well as fragrances. The brand was founded in Rome and is part of the Kering Group.

In what may appear as a major achievement for India, the country bagged the Guinness Book of World Records for the maximum number of online selfies under the Central government's 'Meri Mati Mera Desh' campaign by uploading selfies on social media.
Earlier, the Guinness Book of World Records for the maximum number of selfies was with China in 2016 with around 1 lakh selfies, and now Maharashtra's Savitaribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has created the record of 10,42,538 selfies with soil.

University College Dublin (UCD) and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) signed an MoU aiming to promote cross-border collaboration, student exchange, joint academic research, and faculty engagement.
The collaboration aims to empower VIT students to study at UCD in the Colleges of Engineering & Architecture, and Business for one term/full academic year. With this, the students at VIT will benefit from an access-feeder or 'international transfer program,' allowing them to study at UCD after completing a minimum of two years of their bachelor's degree.

Centre Notifies Appointment of N. Unni Krishnan Nair as Gauhati High Court Judge
The Central Government notified the appointment of Senior Advocate N Unni Krishnan Nair as an additional judge of the Gauhati High Court.
The Central Government had earlier in November notified the appointment of Senior Advocate Kaushik Goswami as an additional judge of the Gauhati High Court. In doing so, at the time the Central Government had deferred processing the name of Nair, whose name was also proposed in the same Collegium resolution.
The delayed notification of his appointment has now reduced Nair's seniority.
